Visiting the Rising Tides - Haugesund - P&O Iona Norwegian Fjords Cruise

- It's our final stop in #Norway and it's our wedding anniversary! We're exploring #Haugesund. We're taking an electric mini bus tour to see the Rising TIdes sculptures, Haraldshaugen monumen and a few other spots. Back on board the ship we dine at The Keel & Cow before relaxing back at the room with a glass of sparkling wine.
This is our first ever cruise and we've chosen to travel on the P&O Iona ship in May 2024, stopping off at Stavanger, Olden, Ålesund & Haugesund. We have activities booked at all four ports! We're also checking out the onboard offerings, dining, drinks... Come along and see how we get on!

I couldn't resist leaving both takes of the door sound effects in hehe.
The only place we visited the same as you, we stopped off at that stone structure we was on an hop on off bus so we got off to take piccies, we went over to the cross (all 4 of us walked the same path down from the cross albeit on different days 😂😂😂) then was heading back to bus and he blimming drove off, we’d left our hoodies on there as well, so we had to wait for the next bus, cost us £36 each for the tour, but we did get our hoodies back from the kiosk at the port. I found the slight rocking of the ship made me tired as well, hubby couldn’t even feel it, 🤪.
Our little bus had about 16 seats and was full.. So we're sat in it waiting to leave and two women came over trying all the doors. We're thinking 'I don't remember them from the trip out!' They just assumed our bus was part of the hop on hop off tour even though it was a tiny little thing! The hop on hop off bus was parked right next to it, ten times bigger and bright red! 🤣

On one our trips we were sat on bus, the tour guide came round counting us and said I’ve got two to many people, the two ladies a couple of rows in front were on wrong bus. 🤪 btw just booked another cruise. The canaries, Spain and Madeira. Only trouble is it’s November and we got to go through bay of biscay.

Haha! I did remember to buy one this year, when we did a Florida trip I had to go to the nearby mall to pick one up because I thought we'd agreed not to buy them. Enjoy your cruise!
