You’re right, the stuff didn’t look that great to be charging more than what it was worth. It seemed like they just wanted to make money. Instead they needed to bring in an experienced person to tell them what the items were really worth and price them accordingly. Like you said they really needed to take into account the area they were selling in.
If this happens to you guys again, could you give a couple examples of what you would have picked up if the prices were WAY more in line? I'm still learning. Only been on eBay about 3 months. Thanks!!
Were the estate sales by family or company? As I live in GR I would find it helpful to know the estate sale names to go to and also avoid if they over estimate value.
Yep. That’s most of the estate sales , thrift stores and even garage sales in my area. It’s a tough business. You have to love it! And yet customers think we’re “robbing” them. I’ve overheard them say “they get this for $1 at a garage sale and then charge you $40”. I wish I knew what garage sales they were shopping at. 😂
this particular "estate sale" reminded me of the scene in the original "christmas carol" where the cleaners of abinizer scrooge were dividing up the proceeds... jes' sayin' ...

Absolutely Kathy but not all estate sales can be winners and we just happened to strike out on this one
Thanks for "being real" & showing how things really can be sometimes!
Always

It was a company and I’ll be stating the company in future videos for exactly what your asking
Oh the big nativity set is lovely
Yea it was nice!
Pretty proud of their items huh? Guess they will remain with most all the items. Thanks for sharing!!
Couldn’t agree more… thanks for watching

It's like fishing, some days you catch a lot, some days you catch nothing!

Yea no doubt that doesn’t happen much anymore you have to pay more . It is always nice to come across true garage sales
I'm with ya, folks; buy at a fair and reasonable price, sell at a fair and reasonable price. You'll do much better next time. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching! Great advice as well
I've never seen such outrageous prices, & I live in California. I don't know how anyone would want to buy ANYTHING.
I agree but they’re was a few people buying for their collection
wow I thought Florida was bad-estate sales here are super expensive - cool giant pig bottle though!
That pig wasn't worth the $150, I didn't think.
It was cool but way over priced
😊😊I would have shouted out about your store, there would have been a stampede
😂😂 not a bad idea
those prices were too high, they're like what i'd see at the higher end of an antique mall
Couldn’t agree more

Hah my favorite Christmas movie!
Hi hi 👋 from western New York
Hi Debbie!!! Hope everything in NY Is Going Great!
I didn't see much interesting at any price. I hate when estate sales don't do 1/2 off on 2nd or 3rd day!
I agree! Makes it tough for a reseller out there
