Kenny, thanks for the video. I have a 2014 GL450 Benz. I shared this video with my mechanic. We replaced with new the air compressor, valve block and all parts (air bags, front struts, fuses etc.) in line with the air suspension system and it still would not raise the car off the front wheels (wheel well rubbing and the car is undrivable). There was a similar benz at his shop, with a functioning air suspension and operated properly; in which he swapped the new parts, and they worked the air suspension system properly, but not on my benz. He thinks it may be the computer system or an electrical issue and possibly need to be reset. Are you familiar with this issue and can advise if that is a possible resolution? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Reportedly, I had a slow leak. I was getting ready to go on vacation and could not take a chance of total failure. Took it to local mechanic. Cost $1500 for analysis, replacement air bags, labor, and 3 yr warranty (parts n labor). Another time, maybe would have tried changing it myself.
I have the suspension malfunction light today and the rear part went low i stopped the suv and press the lift botton and it does lift it but after driving for like 5 to 10 minutes it shows the light again and rear goes low again. It happened twice and i repear the lift process but i was able to get home and i dont know if it will go low while turned off, i don't know what to do
Installed new compressor and rear bags, next day car was super low, the compressor is kicking on but air is not getting to the bags. Did a diag and code c155664 and c156e00 was displayed. What do you think?
@@cliffgee5799 I still haven’t fixed the issue yet. I think it’s one of the airbags. It drops sometimes when I’m parked on a hill or when it’s cold outside. I think it has a slow leak on the right side airbag. When I fix it, I’m gonna make sure I make a video so hopefully I can help somebody out. Because this channel sucks.
I have the same problem on my 2011 GL450. The rear left will drop a bit sometimes when I park and lock it. When I unlock it or start it up the suspension raises back up. Most likely just need a new rear suspension air bag if not spring coil. My front driver side one went out completely on me last weekend so I just purchased the entire assembly off Ebay for that.
I replaced the pump 3 times since had truck 2014 got in 2019. Rear bags once and 1 rear bag again. Now down again. Tired of it , stupid up and down while you drive constantly adjusting air , stupid design. I cut lines up front and ordered Schrader valves to put on lines. Air darn thing up and stay. Now i see was front bags the whole time . Now gonna replaced them and keep pump disconnected. No sense in this. Too expensive of vehicle to all have same problems. Its 1 o the main problems and parts needed so they should oversized the air pump to last. Or have sense just like tires to let know which air bag is bad. 50$ fix on ebay from Europe. Except for the new bags needed

My recommendation is to change out the valve and pump (pretty easy) if you’re doing any work on the airbags. They all seem to go at the same time. I also replaced the height sensors when replacing the airbags. Don’t forget the relay in the fuse box too
hi The, the biggest issue with this air suspension is going to be at the air valve or on Rear a small check valve in the middle and the last stop air bags
Yes...unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce issue and really concerned about it occurring while on vacation. To avoid risk, had rear air suspension bags changed for peace of mind at local European shop.. Work came with 3 yr warranty
Just swap them out for coils. They have kits for it you can do it yourself in 3 hours or so. Best decision I've made. Air coils and pumps are too expensive
Great video!!!! My 2009 GL450's front suspension was low but when I started the car it went back up to normal for a few days but not doesn't come back up. I changed compressor today but new one is not powering up. Does valve block needs to be replaced? Front shocks are good, no leaks. Air is not being pumped to front shocks. Second compressor is not pumping air. Why do you think this is happening? thank you very much
How do you know that the pump is working but the air valve isn't working? Cause I'm having the same issue, my mechanic said my pump is working (it makes sounds of it trying to pump whenever the car comes on) but the car isn't lifting. It's practically down on all 4 of its tyres Asked another mechanic and he said it could be my pump. So, I need to be sure before I do any thing else
@@richiejr6882my drivers side rear blew and I replaced both rear with Arnott. They both aired up some, but not enough to be normal driving height. I’m not sure what to try next.

Check the compressor filter or change the valve
I have a problem with my 2013 mb gl450. The rear drops sometimes on one side. But goes back up when I start the car up. Please help
I have similar intermittent issue (L rear) on 2017 GLS 450. It's in the shop now, 5/20/24, for analysis. What ended up being the issue with yours?

Which pump? Air pump ? Air compressor? Did GL 450 have 1 or 2 valve (each driver and passenger side)
Can you share what tool you used and how you put the hoses back

@@trainingwithkap yeah, I did. One balloon needed to be changed but my pump is noisier than a tuned up beamer
