I love your righteous indignation at getting flashed for doing the right thing!! Really, driving over hash markings shouldn't be allowed...it's dangerous.
Surprised you didn't comment at the THREE numpties driving OVER the roundabout between 11:59 and 12:06... AND the fourth at 12:27, who seems determined to sneak one space superiority in the queue at the Merc's expense!
Agree the car at 8:16 was too far out. While you do need room in case a door opens, if you then meet traffic coming the other way all you do is simply lose a bit of speed while getting closer so you can see into cars as you approach them and be able to stop before someone opens the door. Absolute shocking driving by them
@@JohnSusanSchofield I was thinking that then saw they went back to normal distance once passed the parked cars I wonder if they had someone open a door on them recently and now, rather than drive to the conditions, just get as far to the right as they can without hitting oncoming traffic 🤷🏻♂️
If by 'no spatial awareness' you mean that they have an inability to judge their distance from the nearside curb or obstruction, then I'd agree. It may be that they have a weak or even partially sighted left eye. My sister has progressively lost vision in her left eye to the extent that I now avoid getting in her car with her - it is just plain scary. Glasses would fix the problem, but you know what they say about vanity.
The learner at 6:07 could be early on in the lessons and a common thing that happens is poor awareness of surroundings, especially where the left and right of the vehicle is in relation to the seating position. This is something that will no doubt be discussed between the instructor and pupil and worked on over the coming lessons Give them time and they will get better, they are after all still learning
spot on observations and comments again Tony, I hate that @6:00 one of the most annoying on the roads these days, I've been driving for over 30 years and this has become more prevalent over the last 5 years, since covid the way people position their cars in lanes on motorways and turn right filter lanes has become more erratic... any DI teaching this needs to have their ADI's taken away from them.
15:23 You're almost right, Rule 191 says: You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians. Laws ZPPPCRGD regs 18, 20 & 24, RTRA sect 25(5) & TSRGD regs 10, 27 & 28 Nevertheless, another great video. Thanks
4:32 - the sign is not wrong. That is not a lane divider, that means it's a bypass lane that bypasses the roundabout and goes to the South Terminal. To go straight or right you need the middle lane, or right lane if only 2 lanes, always, otherwise that left lane will bypass the roundabout. Tut tut.
It doesn't say that the inside lane becomes a left turn only lane that's my point, it says that there is a dividing lane coming up and that's simply not true it's a left turn only lane coming up
@@thelondondashcam It does say it's a left turn only lane. The diagram on the sign shows a left bypass lane. It bypasses the roundabout so it must only go left. What are you not getting? There are hundreds of roundabouts that have them denoted by that line on the left.
@@xusiaxod6255 Bypass lanes aren't always approached by left turn only, look at the Eastbound exit of the M40 at Beaconsfield services, lane 1 splits into the bypass lane and a normal left lane. (You can have a beer at the services while you're there).
At 0:30 the cyclist is actually walking their bike on the kerb, so not actually doing anything wrong. Not the world's most pleasant walk, but not doing anything illegal. I would guess they cycled down the slip road onto the dual carriageway, which is a legal place to cycle, regretted it as the road was way too fast for their liking, and sensibly decided to walk back on the kerb.
@@peterdixon6807it's not actually a sign prohibiting bicycles, it is a sign warning drivers that bicycles could be there. Although the cyclist may have also seen the sign and had the same miscomception, hence the reverse.
On the M23 spur into Gatwick airport, the confusing road sign for the roundabout used to be correct when that road was two lanes. There used to be an extra left-only turn lane that appeared just before the roundabout. They've since turned it into the three lane carriageway, so the new lane 1 becomes the old left-only turn. However, they don't have appeared to have updated the sign to match the new layout. Typical half-arsed job. I'll cut some slack to that driver who passed on the left as they wouldn't have seen that it was left-only turn in lane 1 until they saw the sign and the arrows on the road. They probably didn't have the prior knowledge you had to get into lane 2 as early as you did.
6:24. Pulling out left to turn right is a huge issue on the main junction out of the village I live in. I can only think that these people are mentally towing a caravan to get around the corner.
Google Maps seems to think that road by Gatwick is a Dedicated cycle lane, perhaps he decided against continuing when he found what the road really was !
7:50 to be fair to the audi.... can't believe I'm saying that!... I can't see a priority sign when you go to your rear cam. Unless I'm missing it or it was a little further from where the clip ends.
Glad you filmed that Arse Homecare muppet or what ever it's called. They are an absolute menace on the road around Ashtead and Letherhead (they are based in Leatherhead) I do wonder if they are given impossible deadlines hence why they are always driving like deranged idiots. I think they are the ones needing care! ie TAKE CARE
I've been cut up by those cars in Leatherhead from that healthcare company. I can't understand what's wrong with that lot, especially where their offices they just park anywhere along that road.
0:34 I don't know where he comes from, but for sure, the signalisation indicates clearly that there's a danger of incoming cyclists! So you shouldn't be surprised.
Ever since some DoDo at the highway code gave the Lycra lads free reign to ride anywhere anyhow and IGNORE ALL road signs and traffic lights, one should expect these fools to appear from just about anywhere and still blame you for being within a mile of them.
When on holiday in Malta, I hired a car. If you think the standard of driving is bad here, it's a lot worse there. I parked up after a day or so and used public transport!!
Wow. Brighton Road Redhill. I used to live in the apartments on the right. Redhill looks worse now than it did when I moved to Cornwall 25 years ago. Interesting to see clips of where I spent my youth.
@@thelondondashcam The situation is a merge in turn, congratulations, but your turn was behind that Toyota, not forcing your way in front of it in that small gap. That's just common knowledge. You'd know, you berate people for it all the time.
For all we know, the gap grew Infront of that Toyota as the front camera does cut off before the merge, if there is no evidence either way, don't try and argue as it will never end
The cyclist is pushing the bike up the slip road so, while not ideal, isn't doing anything wrong. He also appears to be fully aware of your presence and has moved as far over as practical for yours and his safety. Where you pause the video is even a sign warning you that there could be cyclists on the road 👍
@@thelondondashcam No as he was off the carriageway. The white line on the left is the edge of the carriageway and an offence for vehicular traffic to drive into The cyclist was being as safe as the could be in that situation and we do not know the circumstances that resulted in them heading back up the slip road. Could be a puncture, could be a mechanical issue. It could be he went down there in error and was heading back safely
@@thelondondashcam He's wheeling the bike so he's a pedestrian, perfectly legal to walk against the direction of flow in that horribly overgrown cycle lane. He's even heading towards Evans Cycles old head office so maybe he's taking the bike back (although that office is now closed I think).
You really have got a thing about safety haven't you or the lack of safety walking up a slip road the wrong way in a cycle lane that's going the other way as well he's come from a dual carriageway so he would have been walking or riding the wrong way down the dual carriageway as well perfectly safe.
There are radio adverts on now about don't hog the middle lane, move over to the left. I have argued with my brother about this as even when there is over 100 metres of clear road in the left lane he won't move over on the motorway ( he also drives with only intermittent wipe in the rain because he is too lazy to clean his windscreen with a glass cleaner to remove the traffic film & the wiper-blades to stop them making a noise). A lot of people have poor spatial awareness & can't judge the width of their vehicle, so they drive on or over the white line. More impatient drivers who will queue jump rather than wait. Totally illegal overtaking within zig-zag lines.
Tailgating: as a general rule of thumb, if you cannot see the car behind's headlights in your rear-view mirror then it is driving too close to you. Obviously doesn't apply in standing traffic, or for a van or truck, because if you can't see those headlights then it is because they're embedded in the back of your car!
Years ago I was tailed by a marked police car for something like a mile. They were so close I couldn't see they had the grille-mounted blues on until I managed to get a bit of distance between us and pulled over.
That car hogging lane 3 that you undertook, also was a bit stupid to change back into lane 2 from where he was, if that truck decided to change lanes earlier than he did, that car would have been in the blind spot. Always pass a truck before changing to the lane next to it just to be on the safe side. Edit, I just noticed the truck is also foreign so most likely a left had drive so even more of a danger to change lanes where he was, considering the driver can not look back out the window to check the blind spot.
I had a Numpty before think it was a fiat.. left turn only lane at a mini round about i was in the right for straight on. what do they do? pull out on the round about last second crossing intobmy lane and do a u turn! nearly went straight into the side of them..shame i can't afford a dashcam
You can over take on crossing zig zags, although h do agree with a lot of what you say tho you could do with reading an upto date highway code book as you get a few bits wrong from time to time along with the odd bits of your driving, sometimes controlling the traffic around you and making them do the right thing would help you make progress and stop some of the close shaves
So not The Highway code Rule 191 You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.
@@thelondondashcam So it's perfectly acceptable to pass a line of traffic stationary or moving in the zig-zags provided you stop level with the front one.
@@evolutionxbox Rule 191 only says that you must not overtake the front vehicle. It does not say anything about overtaking the vehicles behind it. This is completely logical. The danger to crossing pedestrians comes from vehicles overtaking a vehicle that they are walking past ie the vehicle at the front of the queue whether it is moving or stationary.
At last able to make a comment!!! Sorry Tony. What is happening to driving standards if learner drivers are taught in these standards!!! Take care Tony 👍👍👍
tony its not undertaking if your in that lane already as you were ,its only undertaking if your in the outside lane [say] n you go into centre n then back to the outside
you drive in some lovely places, could you please say where you are when it is village or hamlet, I do love going with the girls to new places. Love your videos.
I can confirm driving lessons are not that good nowadays and my 18yr old daughter is living proof of that. She has had about 20 lessons and her driving leaves a lot to be desired, she also drives my mum's car so has had extra experience but her road awareness is awful, she has lots of bad habits too and when I ask "who taught you to do that" she says her instructor, so who do we blame for poor driving standards in our yoofs. I know it's not every instructor but it is enough of them and that's a problem.
Looking at the state of the cycle lane on that road it looks as if he changed his mind and was walking back to take another route. At least he wasn't cycling back
A 2 second rule applies by following cars , roughly 90 feet at 30 mph so I work the distance of following cars by the amount of white lines which are 2 metres with a 1 metre gap so 3 lines 20 odd feet ,and your camera is fixed ,so you notice the distance without the lines , an let people know they will relise, ,why do people leave a roundabout if it has two lanes in the right lane when the left is empty 🤔
8:03 The learner driver did a better job of squeezing between the kerb & the clown "driving" down the middle of the road. Spatial awareness is non-existent with some.
Hello mate, my name is Tony, and l live in Reading Berkshire. I just like to know your opinion on this. As British cars and all other vehicles, we all pay for insurance and road tax and mot, so why not bicycles? they should have insurance and Bicycle. inspections. To be Road worthy kind regards, tony.
The learner would have failed for causing another road user to brake. Unlike German car drivers, they told they do not own the road! As an instructor, like yourself, I witness horrendous driving daily!
The atrocious standard of so many driving instructors is possibility reflected in the abysmal, idiotic and selfish driving which is sadly all too common on our roads.
5:56 Why do you assume that EVERYTHING the L driver does is what was directed? The problem here, incidentally, is low aim steering which the Instructor missed out on getting dealt with at the fundamental level. But how many Instructors know how to teach this. I taught many of them. If you ask how the student should be taught how to turn a corner, rarely will the answer be where to LOOK and where to commence STEERING the corner ... think about it.
10:50.. WOW, "I don't see the point in moving back over as I am catching them quite quickly". Even the gap to the first car was debateable, but the gap to the lorry... It takes you nearly a minute to catch up with it, let alone overtake it. That gap was enormous and you didn't move back over... And that whilst complaining about someone else lane-hogging. What a hilariously hypocritical move from you, yet again. Just a few more videos, and I can start my own channel pointing out your mistakes.
You have to realise that we are dealing with 'Peter Perfect' here! There was one a while back where he went over a mile and didn't return to the left lane! Simply lazy driving on his part; and yet he chastises others for the same behaviour!
@telmas7183 You're quite right!! LDC will never admit to his mistakes. He had a whole video about axweek ago on the subject of one car that he felt should have given way to him, and he found out that 75% thought he was wrong and only 25% agreed with him! In this instance of the gap between car and lorry, if the was me I would have pulled in and my criteria is that I will do so if I can spend at least 10 seconds in the lane. LDC could have spent 3 times that yet he considers it not worth pulling in. It actually sends out a message of acceptable lane hogging to drivers behind LDC. Not good!
If that's how those carers drive, I'd hate to be someone who needed their help. The carers in my neck of the woods are just as bad at driving, if not worse. I can't show any clips unfortunately as I am having trouble getting a dash cam for my car.
Although the driving was poor, I do have some sympathy for the care workers; many of the companies they work for WONT pay travel time, so they only get paid when they are actually at the various homes of the vulnerable people on their rota. A family friend worked for one, and to complete the 8 hours of paid work, she had to drive an additional TWO hours minimum - unpaid; just between clients. They also tend to be from overseas, with less than excellent English language skills and with a driving licence of dubious origin (Hong Kong Fake etc); exchanged for a UK licence without questions being asked.
no fucking excuse for dangerous and piss poor driving ... They should get another job then if it forces them to drive like assholes .. "Yeah i killed somebody ..damn I aint gonna get paid now"
Driving standards really are getting worse, no one has any pride in how they drive. Come the evenings and the roads are taken over by the young and reckless - its adversarial and complete madness.
It is. 191 You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. **You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing** or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.
If you overtake a vehicle, especially a van which has not got a rear window, when at the crossing you risk hitting a pedestrian crossing in front of the vehicle, especially if it has stopped moving. If you injure a pedestrian you'll cop it, but if you kill them you will be jailed for manlaughter (10-20 years), or even murder (25-35 years) if you do not stop, as that may be construed as pre-meditated!!
A pointer from a wise old man. On the M25 11:30 mins in, you said you were undertaking, well I’m sorry but you are totally incorrect. The Highway Code does state that you can pass another vehicle on the left hand side, providing that you are staying in the same lane. Undertaking would be if you passed the White Nissan on the left and then went into the right hand lane after doing so. But in all fairness not a half bad video and I can relate to all of it, as I too am a knobhead magnet, I just seem to attract idiot drivers and I am glad that it’s not just me who constantly attracts the scum of motorists 😂 Keep the vids coming though 👌👍
I don't know what people have been eating for breakfast round by me but I've been forced to take evasive action, AKA I've been forced off the road into the verge, by 2 cars in 2 weeks. I'm quite happy to pootle down our not so leafy country lanes but other drivers are intent on doing 108mph in the middle of the road whilst reading a book, sending a text, and ordering their lunch at the local takeaway. One man driving, I use the term loosely, didn't see a big red car until he was 30-50 feet away and the look of shock and panic on his face was quite funny. Unfortunately I was halfway up someone's driveway avoiding the cretin while he sailed by without a care in the world. The lanes are dirty, wet, leafy and narrow but the idiots drive at stupid speeds and don't pay attention and they REFUSE to slow down at pinch points. Moderate your speed and drive to the conditions!!!!!
Of course the correct route for the cyclist would have been taking the turn-off for South Terminal, coming back along the same road and then over the A23 to the North Terminal, crossing lanes of fast moving cars several times over 2 kms. Or simply get off and walk up the slip road for a short distance. I’ve seen lots of pedestrians do the same.
It took you almost 50 seconds to catch the lorry so you weren't catching it that quickly. You had plenty of time to pull over to the lane to the left of you.
So less than a minute… That is how it starts. Then it become “In a couple of minutes the motorway splits” then it is “In a few minutes there are roadworks and traffic is always busy in the left lanes” Just admit you was lane hogging on this occasion. Nobody will think any less of you, in fact, it would be good to see you hold your hands up for once and say “Yep, I was wrong” I know you admitted a fault recently about being distracted, congratulations on admitting that. However, I think that proves what some people have been saying recently that you spend too much time concentrating on what others are doing that you sometimes forget about your own driving. Ignore the idiots around you and get away from them, it makes your driving a lot easier
0:32 The cyclist had dismounted as is therefore classed as a pedestrian. As such he is perfectly entitled to walk on the road and it being one-way does not apply to pedestrians. Once again I remind you of the Highway Code Rule H2 "Pedestrians may use any part of the road". This cyclist was doing nothing wrong.
This is a slip road that is one way I shouldn't have anything coming towards me, pedestrians must not be walking on a slip road unless in an emergency.
@@thelondondashcam If it were a motorway then I would agree with you. But it isn't; it's actually a cycle path. The first Learner Car, if it was on a test the Examiner should have taken control and stopped the car. That was a Dangerous Fault, if you hadn't been paying attention you would have hit it. Second one, if it was a Learner again, the Instructor should have taken the wheel and corrected the positioning, same if it was Test and again should have failed them on the spot.
Its not undertaking if the traffic in the lane to the right is moving slower than you and you remain in the same lane throughout. That car was doing less than the truck so probably about 50 in a 70 which is borderline wreckless imo.
Yes it is undertaking and quite illegal (a section 3ZA2 offence as per CPS website). It is only permitted to undertake a car turning right or in slow moving queueing traffic, neither of which apply here.
@@ditch3827 overtaking is when you pull out to the right to pass, and undertake is the opposite ie pull out to the left to pass. Neither of those apply here. Do you think it's safer to pull across three lanes for no good reason rather than just continue in a straight line? I guess you've never driven the M25. Going by your logic the lorry would have to hang back behind the car as well as it can't go into lane 3. I was approaching the QE bridge the other day in lane 3 doing 60 with both lanes 1 & 2 passing me.

Your videos are, sadly, a constant reminder of the poor driving standards on our roads. I had the misfortune of following the tractor unit of an HGV for several miles today. It always travelled at 10-15 mph above the posted limit, tailgated a small car for about 5 miles that was observing the speed limits, and it jumped a red light. I observed the speed limits at all times and was still able to remain behind it due to heavy traffic. As someone said on here before, a professional driver who is clearly not a professional driver. I’ve decided that l’ll take a bus wherever l can from now on. Totally fed up with having to share the road with complete morons. 😡
Roundabout blockers are the bane of my life ( or was as a lorry driver, yes a professional driver, but one who tried hard to drive with respect to other road users, but roundabout blockers were my pet hate, I use to have to do driver assessments as part of my job, and I always drummed into my drivers, if at the roundabout your way through is not clear, do not enter said roundabout, and I am pretty sure it is part of the highway code too, lorries take so much flack in some of these videos, and rightly too from what I have seen, but to block off a roundabout with a vehicle waiting and indicating to go around to it's right is just disrespectful and arrogant, the poor guy in the lorry is "on the clock" and every minute you delay him is a minute out of his day, plus you frustrate him ( and other road users ) by blocking their path, in my area, we have several large roundabouts with clearly marked " keep clear" signage on the road surface, and yes you guessed it, no one leaves a space where they are indicated to do so, inconsiderate numpties, and I will bet they are the first to complain and honk a person who blocks the "keep clear " signage, the driving standards these days is such that I have taken to public transport for more than 50% of my trips, and leave my car in the drive, but recently even the bus drivers are less than professional than they use to be, oh well that's my rant over, I do love watching your video's and have spotted a few things that have slipped past your observational skills lol
Cyclist at the start, most likely doing a u'ey and prob was a victim of a pointless cycle route app that will literally want you to take the M25 over a bit of single track
Now that the police will be prosecuting people for avoiding potholes if done dangerously, when you watch your video's the number of potholes is a disgrace, you can see your car thud through the holes. With the lack of police on our roads the standard of driving is atrocious, I know now that many police forces are accepting video footage for prosecution, just a shame insurance companies don't get involved so that motorists can be contacted about their behaviour and that if it continues their premiums will be rising
14:39 why did you move out to the right lane? Just to gain two spaces? Or was you policing it because theres always people using that to gain a few extra spaces? Was you aware that it was just going to join back into the same lane? You cut the front cam view off quick because it was obvious the gap you went into wasn't big enough so from an 3rd perspective your driving was just as bad and pointless as the van behind you......also the first clip, that is a cycle lane and the cyclist most likely headed down and noticed that the council haven't maintained it or wasn't sure if he had made a wrong turn, maybe, like most cyclists he doesn't know the HWC and thought the warning triangle for drivers to be aware of cyclists means "no cyclists" but obviously there is a chance he is a complete tit and actually came from that way some how.
We are beginning to see a lot of things that are complained about being done by @London Dash Cam Moving out to pass others at traffic lights is perfectly normal and even you do it but heaven forbid any one else do it Pulling out into the wrong lane from a side road then indicate to move over is fine when you do it by when someone else does it they are called every name under the sun Someone doesn’t move back to the left lane after overtaking they are a mindless lane hog but fine for you to do it for around 30 seconds of travelling time Too many contradictions in your narrative these days. Either complain about everyone else and don’t do it yourself, or don’t include those doing what you do
You can always put a time stamp on what I do wrong show everyone what I do wrong, I even explain why I do certain things that I think is wrong but why I do them. But you can point these things out to me instead of generalizing give me a time stamp and what I did wrong
I am not miserable, far from it. I usually enjoy these videos but recently there has been a rather hypocritical undertone running through the videos which is a shame. Hopefully notmal service will resume but at least it has been admitted that he knows he is doing wrong. I do wonder though, do you think the other drivers you criticise are also making the same excuses as you or have the same reasoning you do?
At 6:42 you are complaining about a driver that uses the wrong lane after emerging from a side road yet in volume 250 you do exactly the same thing At 15:05 you are happy to move into the right lane when there are arrows saying straight ahead yet in volume 249 you are complaining about those doing the same just because the lane then becomes a right turn later. Both are called using all the road space In the same clip as above, every episode you shout out “He has moved into my 🤬ing braking distance” and yet you force your way in front of the Toyota causing it to brake At 10:53 you are in lane 2 (in your words you have used against others) “overtaking nothing” for over 30 seconds. If you don’t like others doing it, don’t do it yourself. If you are going to do it yourself, don’t complain about others doing it. Simple In a recent video you complained about some speed bumps when there wasn’t room for both of you to pass and all you had to do was move left or slow a little. You would be the first to start swearing if it was the other way round and someone didn’t move over as you was approaching those bumps with parked cars There is some awful driving out there, I will agree with that. All I am saying is that recently you haven’t been much better than those you complain about. Hopefully just a small lapse
@@thelondondashcam at 10:50 you don't move back to the left because you say you are "catching the lorry quite quickly" but it takes you around 30 seconds and that is with it sped up for most of it

It's completely unnecessary and unjust to shame them publicly online, or to put them in the same category as people _with_ a license that do stupid/dangerous moves.
Every learner he comes across, he categorically states he is criticising the instructor, not the learner as they should intervene if the pupil, through inexperience, causes danger like pulling out at a junction or roundabout when not safe and when passing parked cars wide with oncoming traffic, should take control of the wheel and bring them back in or stop the car. If no action is taken, that is a bad instructor.
@@dhcgvvchnchb1161 I've seen enough driving instruction videos to know they can't stop everything as it happens. Give them time and they will get better, they are after all still learning
The driving test centre is up at Pease Pottage on the “old A23” Brighton Road, just across the road from the big vehicle breakers.
spot on observations and comments again Tony, I hate that @6:00 one of the most annoying on the roads these days, I've been driving for over 30 years and this has become more prevalent over the last 5 years, since covid the way people position their cars in lanes on motorways and turn right filter lanes has become more erratic... any DI teaching this needs to have their ADI's taken away from them.
15:23 You're almost right, Rule 191 says: You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.

Nevertheless, another great video.
No it doesn't say that at all.
@@thelondondashcam So where on that sign does the left lane look it is going? Does it actually attach to the roundabout? Think about it.
It's a slip road surely it's a no pedestrian area, and there is no kerb as such.
@@thelondondashcamMaybe he cycled down the slip road by mistake and got off and turned around when he realised...?

Where you pause the video is a sign warning you that there could be cyclists on the road
Unless I'm missing it or it was a little further from where the clip ends.
there was a give way sign instead of the usual sign
I've just subscribed and I'm love your videos especially the commentary
13:42 I disagree. This is a merge in turn. Use both lanes until the merge.
Another great video. I just love your videos, they make my day!
15:20 You know it's becoming 1 lane again, and seeing the gap you pull into to get in front of that Toyota.. "Quality bit of driving that"
That's called merge in turn
@@thelondondashcam The situation is a merge in turn, congratulations, but your turn was behind that Toyota, not forcing your way in front of it in that small gap. That's just common knowledge. You'd know, you berate people for it all the time.

The cyclist is pushing the bike up the slip road so, while not ideal, isn't doing anything wrong. He also appears to be fully aware of your presence and has moved as far over as practical for yours and his safety.
Where you pause the video is even a sign warning you that there could be cyclists on the road 👍
Now this is a slip road and he is walking on a slip road from a dual carriageway and you really can't see anything wrong in that.
@@thelondondashcam No as he was off the carriageway. The white line on the left is the edge of the carriageway and an offence for vehicular traffic to drive into
The cyclist was being as safe as the could be in that situation and we do not know the circumstances that resulted in them heading back up the slip road.
@@thelondondashcam He's actually walking in a cycle lane which is quite permitted.
2:09 - yep, if on their test, would have failed it for causing you to slow down.
Learner pulling out was Burgess Hill
This commentator is clearly perfect and never makes mistakes ……
You can over take on crossing zig zags, although h do agree with a lot of what you say tho you could do with reading an upto date highway code book as you get a few bits wrong from time to time along with the odd bits of your driving, sometimes controlling the traffic around you and making them do the right thing would help you make progress and stop some of the close shaves
So not The Highway code
Rule 191
You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines.
@@petehiggins33how did you get that from MUST NOT OVERTAKE?
Your comments about the Zig Zags are correct HWC Rule 191 and it does indeed attract points.
Looking at the state of the cycle lane on that road it looks as if he changed his mind and was walking back to take another route. At least he wasn't cycling back
If the learner at 1:21 was on test, test was over right there. Immediate fail for causing another vehicle to alter speed or course.
What is the email address to send clips to London Dashcam???
The atrocious standard of so many driving instructors is possibility reflected in the abysmal, idiotic and selfish driving which is sadly all too common on our roads.
The cyclist on the on-slip. I don't know where he came from but he looks as if the trousers were stolen!
1:21 If they were on test, they 100% failed right there and then.
It was only 30 seconds from passing the car to reaching the lorry…
…I have seen him complain for far less from other drivers
Pot…kettle…
Not good!
@@PS-fl7et but you have to remember that the video was also sped up so it was a lot longer than 30 seconds

If that's how those carers drive, I'd hate to be someone who needed their help. The carers in my neck of the woods are just as bad at driving, if not worse. I can't show any clips unfortunately as I am having trouble getting a dash cam for my car.
8:10 - for sure, this is a driver who takes up 2 spaces at a car park because he doesn't want plebs touching his car
Did you report any of these instances to the police, or just complain about them?
I have explained in other videos why I don't report them anymore, to cut a long story short The Police Don't Do Anything.
Boo hoo 😢 ... My heart bleeds for them 😢
no fucking excuse for dangerous and piss poor driving ...
Have you ever watched “One foot in the grave”?
It is.

You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines.
But in all fairness not a half bad video and I can relate to all of it, as I too am a knobhead magnet, I just seem to attract idiot drivers and I am glad that it’s not just me who constantly attracts the scum of motorists 😂
Keep the vids coming though 👌👍
Most of these have been taught the modern way of driving....to pass a test...and it's absolute garbage, hence the state of drivers on the road now....
If that driver was on test, they have failed their test, as you had to slow down, and the examiner would have been well aware of it.
you found a lot of muppets there Tony
One way to tell if someone's on test is that the instructor is wearing a hi vis
And crash helmet
hi,isnt a mini made by bmw? hence the type of driving!
It took you almost 50 seconds to catch the lorry so you weren't catching it that quickly. You had plenty of time to pull over to the lane to the left of you.
So under a minute
@thelondondashcam Is plenty of time.
So less than a minute…
That is how it starts. Then it become “In a couple of minutes the motorway splits” then it is “In a few minutes there are roadworks and traffic is always busy in the left lanes”
Just admit you was lane hogging on this occasion. Nobody will think any less of you, in fact, it would be good to see you hold your hands up for once and say “Yep, I was wrong”
I know you admitted a fault recently about being distracted, congratulations on admitting that. Second one, if it was a Learner again, the Instructor should have taken the wheel and corrected the positioning, same if it was Test and again should have failed them on the spot.
I think it's likely that the cyclist was going the correct way down the slip road, then saw the No Cycling sign and turned round to walk back
There isn’t a no cycling sign, there is a warning sign that cyclists could be travelling on the road
Why do you call out learners for making mistakes?
I call out the instructors not the learners, some of these cars that I am talking about on other videos only have one person in the car.
Of course, some bus drivers could be added to that very list...

The cyclist is on a cycle route. That sign means Cycyle Route Ahead.
Going the other way, this is a one way slip road and we drive/ride on the left.
And yet you still ignore the fact that by pushing the bike he is in fact a pedestrian and doing nothing wrong
Also the sign doesn’t mean cycle route ahead, it is warning road users that cyclists could be using the road
I've been on m1 near Barnsley an a cyclist was going down the hard shoulder I thought WTF.
Here is a new saying for videos always an pergeot ( always an audi)
Remember Mini Driver = Trainee BMW Driver
You need anger management classes… also you’re not exactly “tyres and tarmac” level when you stop behind a car?!
Cyclist at the start, most likely doing a u'ey and prob was a victim of a pointless cycle route app that will literally want you to take the M25 over a bit of single track
a whole video about how people dont give in to you ?
You must be watching a different video to everybody else
Now that the police will be prosecuting people for avoiding potholes if done dangerously, when you watch your video's the number of potholes is a disgrace, you can see your car thud through the holes.
With the lack of police on our roads the standard of driving is atrocious, I know now that many police forces are accepting video footage for prosecution, just a shame insurance companies don't get involved so that motorists can be contacted about their behaviour and that if it continues their premiums will be rising
Pretty sure you wouldn't be coming out of a B&Q car park on a driving test.
Could be if you have just done the bay parking manoeuvre
We are beginning to see a lot of things that are complained about being done by @London Dash Cam
Moving out to pass others at traffic lights is perfectly normal and even you do it but heaven forbid any one else do it
Pulling out into the wrong lane from a side road then indicate to move over is fine when you do it by when someone else does it they are called every name under the sun
Someone doesn’t move back to the left lane after overtaking they are a mindless lane hog but fine for you to do it for around 30 seconds of travelling time
Too many contradictions in your narrative these days.
Don't like it, don't watch it, you only get a limited time on this planet, go do stuff you enjoy rather than deliberately make yourself miserable
At 6:42 you are complaining about a driver that uses the wrong lane after emerging from a side road yet in volume 250 you do exactly the same thing
At 15:05 you are happy to move into the right lane when there are arrows saying straight ahead yet in volume 249 you are complaining about those doing the same just because the lane then becomes a right turn later. Both are called using all the road space
In the same clip as above, every episode you shout out “He has moved into my 🤬ing braking distance” and yet you force your way in front of the Toyota causing it to brake
At 10:53 you are in lane 2 (in your words you have used against others) “overtaking nothing” for over 30 seconds. If you don’t like others doing it, don’t do it yourself. If you are going to do it yourself, don’t complain about others doing it. Simple
In a recent video you complained about some speed bumps when there wasn’t room for both of you to pass and all you had to do was move left or slow a little. You would be the first to start swearing if it was the other way round and someone didn’t move over as you was approaching those bumps with parked cars
There is some awful driving out there, I will agree with that. All I am saying is that recently you haven’t been much better than those you complain about. Hopefully just a small lapse
@@thelondondashcam at 10:50 you don't move back to the left because you say you are "catching the lorry quite quickly" but it takes you around 30 seconds and that is with it sped up for most of it
When I see a Peugeot, I call it a pukeit lol
Including learner drivers is just sad... They're literally learning. You haven't got a clue what's going on in that car, whether it's a test or whatever. Doesn't matter either which way.
Pulling out and then the instructor suddenly slamming on the brakes isn't a great idea either. The whole point I'm trying to make is that he puts them on the same level as the actual bad drivers based on nothing more than assumptions.. And pretty big assumptions at that. I mean, who says that the instructor isn't calling the student out on it right after? He can't know. So don't assume.
oh here we go .. Just because they have L plates on the car does not mean they disregard other road users and as a learner they still have to have situational/ hazard awareness ... MORE SO in fact ..
@@kittyhawk9707 I'm sure you were perfect when learning and made zero mistakes. But we can't all be like you, oh almighty perfection of humanity.
no i wasn't perfect .. but neither did i just blindly bumble along without a care in the world because i had L plates on .... they are not a fucking badge of invincibility .. they don't protect you from accidents or running somebody over if you aint paying attention and it all goes wrong .. As i said ... As a Learner you still have to pay attention to the road and other road users ..

I think your being rather harsh on learners and the instructors. It maybe the pupils first or second lesson or they may just be struggling with it all. We are taught to coach pupils on how to drive. Makinh them think rather than just telling. So mistakes will take place more often than not. Examiners should be wearing a high viz top so you can tell if it is a test or not. Some instructors are less helpfull i must admit but we all had to start somewhere. Im 65 and have been driving years. I still cock it up now and then. Dont you? No one is perfect.
Cyclist got lost, perhaps?
Why is it ok for you to swear in your uploads, bout not ok for people to swear in the comments?
