That is a Plague Doctor. They wore that costume to protect themselves from airborne illnesses. The mask could hold aromatic flowers and herbs, camphor etc. to mask the horrible smells of decaying bodies. The robe was waxed and repelled fleas which were the carriers of the bubonic plague though at the time they had no idea what was causing it. That outfit became the symbol of death and disease. The hat indicated the person was a doctor. The eye holes were covered with clear glass. What a creepy time to be alive. One of my favorite tags you've made.

That is a plague doctor outfit, but during the plague, they had volunteers wearing them too since the doctors were dying back then too, so it wouldn’t be uncommon for a priest to wear the uniform. Love this one as I love plague doctor outfits. Lol. ❤❤❤❤
