So, I had a training session with my PGA instructor last week to help me with my driver distance (lack thereof) I am 68 years old but athletic and work out 5 days per week religiously - cardio, weights and stretching. Back to my lesson, I was completely discouraged to learn my Trackman driver swing speed was 79.8 mph, totally bummed. Even though I was striking the ball well, my instructor flatly stated more speed would translate to greater distance. So I asked how I might modify my work-outs to help myself, and he said let's try something. He had a stack in a bag somewhere and had me AGGRESSIVELY swing the stack 10 times. Then had me take a short pause/break and did the same 5 more swings. He had me tee one up immediately following and Trackman showed 90 mph. To say we were both surprised is an *understatement*. I found your video but where can I purchase the Stack, I am super impressed. Thanks Chris S.
With over 60 years in athletics and coaching, I can say without reservation, this is the most scientific approach to increasing clubhead speed. I have used it and seen the increases in my own swing.
I've been using the Stack for 8 weeks now. I'm 68 years old and was swinging driver at 93 mph. My Max speed with the Stack has gone up to 105mph in those 8 weeks. My realistic golf swing is probably closer to 99 or 100 mph at this point. I am pretty athletic and I've stuck to the program religiously but I am shocked at the amount of speed gained. I am optimistic about reaching 110 mph max speed and hopefully well over 100 mph by spring. That would represent a massive gain on the golf course. I can't recommend the system enough. I also have found the app to be super motivating. I look forward to each workout and really enjoy them. I've not had that experience with other speed training sticks. I just never really got started and stopped using them within a week or two.
Just bought "TheStack" system. I'm 65 yrs old and currently driving the ball 260 to 270 yds(total) consistently. Hopefully after 3 months of training 300yds is within reach😁😁
I just purchased the Stack System…I have another system, but it has 3 clubs, the clubs are longer (can’t swing in my garage), and you need to manually record everything…PITA and easy to drop off…as someone in the early 50s who’s had both hips replaced but still very fit, my driver swing speed has suffered…no in the low 90s and would like to see it above 100 again…
Ive only started since the US Open 5-6 sessions. My feeling is that the continuous soeed feedback tends to support technique adaptation - slowly im working out the type of swing “feels” that give relaxed faster speeds. The feels I’ve noticed include making the swing from the ground up, a wide arc, and a relaxed lag type release with a throwing type sensation - these feelings seem to accelerate the club head seemingly without much additional effort.
I have a question about how The Stack System customizes workouts to individuals. Does it customize individual workouts or within a program or does it customize by recommending different programs as you progress? Does it modify workouts within a program based on your performance with different weights? Thanks!
Dr. Mackenzie, I'm a 60 year old male and I have the superspeed sticks. I have decent speed for my age with a clubhead speed around 100 mph. The issue I have with superspeed is I have to take breaks because I've pulled a muscle or whatever but I'm also pretty fit for my age. Does the app for the Stack System allow for injuries like pulled muscles? Or does it just recommend a workout based on the time you take off? Thank you!
I bought the stack last week and did my baseline session. And then the first round of swings after that. I am not seeing anywhere yet that says , how many sessions you should do in a day, week etc?
