One of my all time favorite universes, got into it due to the SNES game, then Genesis, then pen and paper and xbox 360. Glad these got console releases!
Loved these games on the PC when they came out. I actually played tabletop Shadowrun 25 years ago as a teen with my friends, had a blast. What I find so interesting in these new games is that so much of the interaction is written text - unlike playing The Witcher or the like where there are cutscenes all the time (even the character dialogues play like movies) here we get to read and use our imagination just like we did when playing tabletop or reading great sci-fi or fantasy novels. It's a really unique experience and I can't recall another game that treats the players like that. Now, since the visuals and the fantastic music help create a great atmosphere and the writing is so damn good - it is just a damn special experience. The combat is okay, a bit clunky and the AI isn't amazing (which makes it that strong melee characters can easily dominate the game) but I keep hankering for the feeling of playing these games.
These were the best on PC. Can't wait to replay these on the PS4. Would love for them to make more Shadowrun games for PC & Consoles. *I can never get enough of these awesome games.*
Looks great! Thanks for the review. I actually miss games where I did a lot of reading. I am big fan of reading breaks between action and decisions. If the story is good, it’s easier for me to follow I still remember pretty much every step of the 1993 SNES game because of the story and the dialog. Is it like XCOM?
I played the trilogy on steam years ago and loved them. Excited for the port. I'll likely try to 100% cheevo them. I'm a fan of isometric RPGs. Like Baldurs gate & Fallout. I grew up with them and they are a soft spot for me.
Hey I got this for switch I been playing for approx 7-10 hours on Dragonfall. It’s lag a bit on running but nothing game breaking so far. I been enjoying this so far
@@nickk3403 I'm playing on PS5 and I've had two crashes during the same combat sequence and one while I was in the morgue, that was early on and I'm about 3 hours in now and it hasn't crashed again. While I have gamepass my wife added it on my ps account so I haven't tried it on xbox yet, I'll probably jump over on to the Xbox for Dragonfall to see how it performs.
Had zero crashes, though for the purposes of this review I played much more of Dragonfall than the others. There was very minor lag now and then, but nothing to complain about.
Good review, I loved this on the snes. Refreshing to have a game reviewer that isn’t trying to be all zany and wild.

Yeah, that's where I first played it(snes)and enjoy it, back when cyberpunk wasn't in every game 😎👌
I just bought this on a huge sale via Playstation Store digitally. I am excited to delve into these 3 stories & a incredible setting bud.

Downloading from Xbox gamepass wanted to play this game since long time ago!
I completely missed CRPG's on the PC durring their haydays so it's great to see these come back so that ppl like my self can jump in.

A very well done review, from one of my absolute favorite reviewers!
Can't wait to take a dive into this game
Loved these games on PC and it's great to see them on consoles, but these ports are buggy as hell.
I got this on gamepass God this is My GOTY.
Anybody know how i can change language in the game?
Did you experience any crashes during gameplay? ACG review said he had loads which is a big problem if its widespread

@@gs8494 thanks for confirmation. So far still clear here but hope a patch comes out to address a bit of the lag

@@GodisaGeek agreed I’m having the same experience plus a patch came out yesterday for all three games. So not sure if it did anything

can we stop calling everything punk?
okay, punk
"cyberpunk".
It's a type of art style, setting & theme. Personally I only hear it used when what's being discussed is, in fact, cyberpunk 🤷♂️
