He’s the funniest and makes the group laugh the most and also has the kind of laugh that is pure and wholehearted. He’s the only member to not have cried *in public* and is always there for the group. In terms of closeness he is closest to soobin (and soobin is closer to him) they are called gum, and everyone around them have even confirmed it (including staff and variety shows) even themselves. All of them are really really close, but if I had to point out at the closest ones, I would say each of them is closer to other two members. Soobin is closer to Beomgyu and Hueningkai. Yeonjun is closer to Beomgyu and Taehyun. Beomgyu is closer to Soobin and Yeonjun. Taehyun to Hueningkai and Yeonjun and Kai is closer to Taehyun and Soobin, but all of them are pretty close to each others. I wouldn't pay attention on relationship based on popular ships.
yeah the popular txt ships... yeonbin is mainly stemming from yeonjun doing a bunch of fanservice lol and also the non-soobin members were mostly underage in early eras. taegyu got paired with beomgyu often because it's the usual sunny chaotic + calm and wise combination. but taehyun and hueningkai are probably closest (same age), taehyun and yeonjun have trained together the longest so they're very close too, while soobin and beomgyu have mainly chosen each other as closest throughout the years, so the ships aren't super accurate.

lol it's fun to hear your assumptions/first impressions and what they're actually like. yeonjun does dance covers so well! he did a bunch of tik tok dance collabs and excelled every time. for representative animals, yeonjun is like a fox/cat. beomgyu is a bear but recently he also said he was like a maltese puppy (and him and soobin keep roleplaying where he's soobin's puppy lol）and yeah he's really chaotic lol taehyun, you got a lot of the first impressions correct, but he's one of the examples that an extrovert doesn't have to be loud and energetic, he's usually on the chill side compared to some other members, but he consistently tested as extroverted while hyuka and beomgyu went from being extroverts to being introverts. with taehyun's story, we have a bit more detail now from the casting manager who said when they scouted taehyun, taehyun had questioned them on why he should join bighit as a trainee when he was good at studying and could've gone to a good school instead. As the saying goes never judge a book by its cover, I always go try to go in with 0 expectations. It's also why I don't pick a bias until I've at least memorized all their names, faces and have seen at least 2 offstage videos 😂. TXT are very close with eachother, all of them, honestly they are family
One thing we have to remember about Yeonjun is that he is best friends with Wooyoung from Ateez and Changbin from Stray Kids. Once you think about that, his "extra-ness" makes sense lol. I can't even imagine how chaotic those 3 are together.

Every TXT song has a special place in my heart, so I will look forward to your journey! Also I wanna mention that every member is close to each other like brothers, who care for one another but also bicker for fun😂
TXT is a group where each member's personality is very different from one another, so they're all really close as a whole but it also means that every friendship/relationship that each member has is a very different dynamic in accordance to who they're interacting with. So actually if you observe their friendships in pairs, it's really difficult to decide who's closest with who.
Please explore TXT music and their personalities simultaneously because that way you will be able to enjoy both like one video is their music and then another is their personality video so that way you will be able to explore both ☺☺. I was summoned you shall now know that Beomjun in just like the past 2 months have had sooo SOO many Sussy ship moments while they're on tour yes they are tom and jerry lmao and yes YEONJUN did say beomgyu is not his style 🤡 but his actions say otherwise. On tour rn especially BEOMGYU and YEONJUN have me legit doubting......😭😭🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 I loveee their ship soo much. As a baby MOA myself, I fell in love with these boys SO FAST-only in a span of days- their musics, MVs and universe lore what makes me drown to them. So I suggest you to react to their music first, I recommend to start in order of release so you can see their growth! (also they like to make older songs as reference to the newer songs, ex: "new rules" is reference to "no rules", etc. (i hope i make sense, sorry for my english)) And you can react to To Do in between! While their musics will show you their talents, watching To Do is a good way to learn about their personality and their bond, like how close they are, how chaotic they could be 😂

My take on ships.. Cat line (yeonjun and taehyun) - yeonjun has longest training period and 2nd longest is taehyun so they are those friends who act as safety net for each other like they both went through struggles together (like surviving trainees removing process ect.) so they have that natural chemistry of friends who had spent lot of time together. And they are the only ones who can cook.. At debut only yeonjun could cook but during pendamic taehyun also learnt to cook cause he was sick of delivery. Yeonkai (yeonjun and hyuka) - love language of both members is physical affection so they are lot comfortable with each other in terms of hugs and kisses. Yeonjun and beomgyu are like more emotional members in group and we can see that here in this relationship with Kai.. He really coddles him (kai). Mainly cause he has watched kai grow up or should I say he practically raised kai cause kai joined preety early for his age. Yeonbin (yeonjun and soobin) - this comes with no surprise that they are basically parents of the group with yeonjun more of being for them emotionally and soobin more patiently and kinda rationally.. Bighit does this thing where they appoint 2nd oldest as their leader so like they can depend on oldest when they are stressed or when they are struggling (like with namjoon and jin) so they have that kinda dynamic too. Yeonjun is more hyperactive and soobin is calm so you can see that dynamic as well. Yeongyu (yeonjun and beomgyu) - they are the infamous tom and jerry. But since they are both emotional so when situation arises yeonjun comforts beomgyu every time. Beomgyu and often spoken about yeonjun being one of the idols he looks up to. And even tho yeonjun acts like he is annoyed and angry, he still takes care of beomgyu. And they are fashion buddies. Soogyu (soobin and beomgyu) age wise they have only three months age difference so they are really close with each other. They were also roommates so they have great chemistry.. Soobin is tallest and beomgyu is tiny so they have that aggressive tiny and calm giant dynamic. Beomgyu was extrovert at debut but now he has updated that he is an introvert now. I think it's cause of soobin's influence. They are gamer buddies with huening Kai. Beomgyu is a total gamer and that's why he is also that type of idol who is never online. Taebin (taehyun and soobin) - cause of being in the industry for so long at such a young age taehyun is very reserved person. Like soobin has already talked about this before that it took quite some time and efforts to get in comfort zone of both maknaes. Like they are not rude but they keep people at a distance like there is a wall and soobin said that he is happy that he finally crossed that wall. Sookai (soobin and hyuka) - they are anime buddies. They both love anime and bond over it. They are called each others gums and they often argue(jokingly) about who is whose gum like who actually comes looking for other. Taegyu (taehyun and beomgyu) - surprisingly they bond over discipline. Even though beomgyu looks like he lacks discipline he is actually very disciplined and probably that's why he was able to catch up with rest of the members in training. Even tho he looks goofy he was actually really good at studies and was class president. Taehyun was also good at studies so they have that nerd/topper rivalry dynamic. Since predebute days beomgyu dropped taehyun to school and taehyun also mentioned that if beomgyu would have joined a little earlier then he would dropped him off since middle school. And now dynamics have changed a little where now beomgyu acts little brother and leans on taehyun a lot. He mentioned that couple of times. And beomgyu learnt some recipes from taehyun when he was participating in cooking variety show. Beomkai (beomgyu and kai) - they kinda have switch dynamics like sometimes beomgyu would act like big brother and sometimes Kai. Btw beomgyu is kai's ideal type. Tyunning (taahyun and heuning) - they are soulmates. They are roommates since forever. They are really close since they have less age gap. And despite both of them being reserved they both get along really well. Almost like twins despite their difference in personalities.

taehyun and beomgyu are more partners and less ship, but there are people who deny any kind of partners, however plainly the members relay the information. So, to avoid the problem, you can refer to Taegyu as their ship name.
An extra fact is that I.N and Beomgyu are very good friends including Hyunjin, but Beomgyu has mentioned his relationship with I.N more times since they have the same age and even play together. Also Yeonjun and Changbin are friends mentioning this even in lives and shows, even Yeonjun once called Chanbing during one of the shows for a challenge. I think the person who put the video together has a different opinion about good voice than I do. They gave no examples of the angelic high voice that I love of Taehyun’s which just floats to heave. They included instead many examples of that rock sounding push through the vocal chord sound he also does which you pointed out sounds like MJ.

I would recommend that you listen to Loser=lover, Lovesong, Can't You See Me and one of my favorite b-sides Dear Sputnik which was produced by Kai. Every TXT song has a special place in my heart, so I will look forward to your journey! Also I wanna mention that every member is close to each other like brothers, who care for one another but also bicker for fun😂
TXT is a group where each member's personality is very different from one another, so they're all really close as a whole but it also means that every friendship/relationship that each member has is a very different dynamic in accordance to who they're interacting with. So actually if you observe their friendships in pairs, it's really difficult to decide who's closest with who.
Please explore TXT music and their personalities simultaneously because that way you will be able to enjoy both like one video is their music and then another is their personality video so that way you will be able to explore both ☺☺. As a baby MOA myself, I fell in love with these boys SO FAST-only in a span of days- their musics, MVs and universe lore what makes me drown to them. So I suggest you to react to their music first, I recommend to start in order of release so you can see their growth! (also they like to make older songs as reference to the newer songs, ex: "new rules" is reference to "no rules", etc. (i hope i make sense, sorry for my english))

My take on ships..
Cat line (yeonjun and taehyun) - yeonjun has longest training period and 2nd longest is taehyun so they are those friends who act as safety net for each other like they both went through struggles together (like surviving trainees removing process ect.) so they have that natural chemistry of friends who had spent lot of time together. And they are the only ones who can cook.. At debut only yeonjun could cook but during pendamic taehyun also learnt to cook cause he was sick of delivery.
Yeonkai (yeonjun and hyuka) - love language of both members is physical affection so they are lot comfortable with each other in terms of hugs and kisses. Yeonjun and beomgyu are like more emotional members in group and we can see that here in this relationship with Kai.. He really coddles him (kai). Mainly cause he has watched kai grow up or should I say he practically raised kai cause kai joined preety early for his age.
Yeonbin (yeonjun and soobin) - this comes with no surprise that they are basically parents of the group with yeonjun more of being for them emotionally and soobin more patiently and kinda rationally.. Bighit does this thing where they appoint 2nd oldest as their leader so like they can depend on oldest when they are stressed or when they are struggling (like with namjoon and jin) so they have that kinda dynamic too. Yeonjun is more hyperactive and soobin is calm so you can see that dynamic as well.
Yeongyu (yeonjun and beomgyu) - they are the infamous tom and jerry. But since they are both emotional so when situation arises yeonjun comforts beomgyu every time. Beomgyu and often spoken about yeonjun being one of the idols he looks up to. And even tho yeonjun acts like he is annoyed and angry, he still takes care of beomgyu. And they are fashion buddies.
Soogyu (soobin and beomgyu) age wise they have only three months age difference so they are really close with each other. They were also roommates so they have great chemistry.. Soobin is tallest and beomgyu is tiny so they have that aggressive tiny and calm giant dynamic. Beomgyu was extrovert at debut but now he has updated that he is an introvert now. I think it's cause of soobin's influence. They are gamer buddies with huening Kai. Beomgyu is a total gamer and that's why he is also that type of idol who is never online.
Taebin (taehyun and soobin) - cause of being in the industry for so long at such a young age taehyun is very reserved person. Like soobin has already talked about this before that it took quite some time and efforts to get in comfort zone of both maknaes. Like they are not rude but they keep people at a distance like there is a wall and soobin said that he is happy that he finally crossed that wall.
Sookai (soobin and hyuka) - they are anime buddies. They both love anime and bond over it. They are called each others gums and they often argue(jokingly) about who is whose gum like who actually comes looking for other.
Taegyu (taehyun and beomgyu) - surprisingly they bond over discipline. Even though beomgyu looks like he lacks discipline he is actually very disciplined and probably that's why he was able to catch up with rest of the members in training. Even tho he looks goofy he was actually really good at studies and was class president. Taehyun was also good at studies so they have that nerd/topper rivalry dynamic. Since predebute days beomgyu dropped taehyun to school and taehyun also mentioned that if beomgyu would have joined a little earlier then he would dropped him off since middle school. And now dynamics have changed a little where now beomgyu acts little brother and leans on taehyun a lot. He mentioned that couple of times. And beomgyu learnt some recipes from taehyun when he was participating in cooking variety show.
Beomkai (beomgyu and kai) - they kinda have switch dynamics like sometimes beomgyu would act like big brother and sometimes Kai. Btw beomgyu is kai's ideal type.
Tyunning (taahyun and heuning) - they are soulmates. They are roommates since forever. They are really close since they have less age gap. And despite both of them being reserved they both get along really well. Almost like twins despite their difference in personalities.

taehyun and beomgyu are more partners and less ship, but there are people who deny any kind of partners, however plainly the members relay the information. So, to avoid the problem, you can refer to Taegyu as their ship name.
An extra fact is that I.N and Beomgyu are very good friends including Hyunjin, but Beomgyu has mentioned his relationship with I.N more times since they have the same age and even play together. Also Yeonjun and Changbin are friends mentioning this even in lives and shows, even Yeonjun once called Chanbing during one of the shows for a challenge.
