GP01 backpack always had indents for the sabers because the backpack is part of the core fighter system. The beam sabers when in core fighter mode act like beam cannons for the core fighter.

@@AnthonysCustoms do you have any interests in the Gundam Universe line? They are cheaper figures and I don't think they are bad at all for what they are. I have the first wave and I enjoy them despite some issues.
This figure is great but those ankles prevent the figure to achieve some poses and for an action figure that is bad. Ankle articulation is very important when designing action figures, it should be one of those details that can't be ignored, consequently, designers should make sure that those will work properly before releasing the figure. In this case they payed so much attention to every detail that it's almost incomprehensible how they let those bad articulated ankles slide. If they think this figure should be posed flying why haven't they include a display stand? Thanks for the review.

Damn, I’ve been collecting Gundams for about 12 years now, and man, this is one of the best I’ve ever seen that’s not a custom. I need to get this guy.
I really hope you go back to reviewing robot damashii figures, if you do go back to it then may i recommend the metal robot spirits destiny gundam as its a improvement from the old robot spirits destiny in a LOT ways
I'm happy to see you reviewing these again, the Gundam Alex from 0080 is probably the best ver A.N.I.M.E they have released but this is a pretty close second.
@@Ronce01 I own both, they are solid entrys IMO but personally I am more impressed when the More Humanoid Robots are executed well than the bulkier/oddly shaped ones. With all the Extra plastic on those two It would be easy to make them effective figures, but the Alex could have been as bad as the GM Cold Weather.
@@holden_7597 we were referring to the GM Cold Districts Type specifically. It's a really cheap feeling figure. Bland looking. Poorly executed IMO. I'm not looking forward to the GM Command Space Type because it pretty much uses the same mold.
Damashii are pricey..ive got age normal for mine..the joint are not like this..its has clicking sound..so solid..i dont know for sure why mine didnt come like this coz only got one..and yes those ankle are terible, what on earth whos design that ankle anyway..LoL
I want one just for the accessories! So many of the a.n.i.m.e. versions of these figures have awesome accessories.
And the effect parts add to the display value. Too bad Robot Damashii prices have only been going up.

Bandai always over engineers Robot dramashii, they tend to do it with other figures too but I appreciate their effort haha

They sure have gotten expensive and the selection isn't what it used to be. I miss the Wing suits and G Gundams.

Have you seen the ver ANIME Kampfer and Hy-Gogg? They're both much better figures than the Alex. Not that the Alex is a bad figure.
