When he asked her to marry him, he slhoud have added he loved her, and she might have said. "Yes" ... I lovè this series and I qm sad to see it end, so I will watch reruns❤
It was just sad to see the gorgeous Morse hurting so much. Wanted to hug him, (& other things I can't say on here ❤) just a fantastically well written show, that had to end 😢
Sono d'accordo ma....avrebbe fatto diventare questo amore "noioso, superficiale" non intrigante come invece è stato.....perché per me (ovviamente personalmente parlando) c'è stato amore tra entrambi da quando ha aperto quella porta!!!! Comunque serie favolosa!!!!

By the time "Inspector Morse" started (mid-80s) Joan could've divorced Strange and moved to a different part of the UK, or sadly predeceased Morse. There's a reason why by this period Morse never made any reference to her and her dad

two of morse's loves that got away the first one being susan who he was engaged to and now his mentors daughter who then shacked up with the fat idiot who then went on to be morse's boss
