I just ordered your book!!!!! Gonna need it yet was gonna get it anyway but in a blink my worst nightmare came true and now my life will never be the same it seems all bleak and dark cuz I will never be able to laugh again without guilt cuz she should be here!! How does someone go for laughing and being so alive then not even 30 minutes later I get a call my daughter gone this all happened j august 3 and I have no idea where the last 3 days have gone either!! I’ve lost an air pod my keys 1 shoe of 2 pair of shoes and completely forgotten what clothes I actually wear cuz nothing looks familiar, I can’t eat or sleep andvif I do sleep when I wake it’s like reliving it again and again, my wish is to just go and be with her but I know I can’t so I have no point in life.
Bittersweet but congratulations on the release of your book. 🎈❤. I will read it when mentally I am ready. Working in a Children’s Trauma Center & it still being summer. I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this. I’ve witnessed more loss on children & seen families devastated, That empty feeling inside of us like we failed in our job. We are trained & suppose to SAVE lives. But we can’t save them all. My faith in God is what gets me through those tragic calls. To believe in a higher power & have faith that everything occurred exactly how it was meant to be. God knew when he created this life how it would end. No matter if we understand or not. God bless you & all of your family. I may not know the personal side of loosing my child but, I’ve been witness to enough I hope I never find out.

God bless you, I can feel the vulnerability and pain in your words. I understand why you have not read the book. I bought 3 copies and have not been able to read it yet. Granger and his entire family have a calling from God and I'm excited to see where Gid leads them. Certainly a trauma nurse also has a calling from God and is a gift to these families.
Thank you for sharing of your role in these devastating journeys. My story is so similar to the Smiths. Not sure I can read it as well except their story unfolded to me when I was experiencing an PTSD event, mind you 38 yrs after our loss of our 3 yr old son. Unbelievably hard. But, their sharing blessed me and was a comfort. God bless you and empower you to be His hands, and voice. I’m sure the wins far outpace the losses, and even in the loss of our son, the kindnesses of others were what carried me onward. ❤️

Great book...bought it on Audible and Nook (because I can enlarge print) due to loss of some vision due to cancer. The book is both heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time. I know God is going to touch many hearts through your words because this book is for ANYONE...as we all face heartache and sorrows. Continued prayers for you and your family and the loss of your precious River. I have also bought several copies of Amber's book Roar Like a Dinasaur. Soo thankful you two had the courage to write these books. One glorious day we will all meet on that beautiful shore...where there will be no more sorrow...no more tears. 💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏🙏

Got my book from Amazon and have already finished it. I plan on purchasing 4 more books for my children now for Christmas. Granger, I don't know how you and Amber and the family survived this. It had me in tears during the first chapter. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
After listening to the audible book "LIKE A RIVER" It has been a life changing listen. It has helped me to lift my survivors guilt from not being able to save my mother during a horrific vehicle accident and watching her die just out of my reach. As the Chapters progressed I could sympathize and feel the feelings, but could also use as some relief from the pain I have lived with for 11+ years. Thank you Grainger, you and your family have touched my life through sharing your book.
Hey Granger, I am writing this after just finishing your book. I sat down in my recliner this morning and read it cover to cover. I could not put it down! What a powerful story and testimony! My son and his new bride are driving back to North Carolina today after attending your show last night in Norfolk, VA. They had a great time and participated in their 2nd Meet and Greet with you! I have watched the Smith’s since the very beginning and while I was reading your book I could remember every reference in your story. I remember them because I felt like I was living through these times with you, but the real story is that I had no idea what you were truly going through. I now fully understand the pain that you guys were living. My wife and I have conversations all the time about folks who appear to have everything put together. Social media has a cruel way of masking real life. We are living in a broken and fallen world and we are all in need of a savior! I originally preordered 3 books! One for myself and 2 for my sons. After reading mine this morning I have ordered 4 more to share with family and friends. Everyone needs to read this story of redemption and self forgiveness. We will continue to pray for you and your family! We love you and are convinced that many lives will be transformed and saved by willingness to share your story with the world! God Bless you brother!
Shannon is such a lovely woman and I can't wait to go out and buy your book Granger. We are connected in ways you don't know with love and lost and timing. I am going to miss your music SO much. The Smiths saved me and helped me through the loss of my momma, then a mass shooting where I knew 4 people of the 23 that were killed, then my lifelong friend passed away from MS, then Covid, then my brother. All within 9 months in 2019/20.
Before my momma passed away I found the Smiths and showed her the video of River driving his little tracker and trying to jump it in the field, we laughed together so hard and then he went to heaven in June and she went right behind him in Sept. I will always remember watching that video with her and how so adorable we both thought he was and so full of life. God had a plan, and we might not always understand it but we have to trust it.

I received the book on the 4th. And immediately when I saw it burst into tears. I was so overcome with emotion. I am so proud of you Granger. I feel like I’ve been part of the process with you. You have allowed lus to be a part of this journey with you and your family. I immediately ordered another copy for my son. Great getting to see this background footage. I already got to see a bit of the New York stuff on London's video. I've seen all of these interviews, and it's great hearing what they ask and what they have to say about the book. Shannon's was probably my favorite. I didn't cry while watching the interview, but the tears were flowing when I watched you close it out with her on here. You were amazing on all of them. I'm a bit frustrated with ET for the spoiler, but I know they put out there what they think will get them views, and it did. I am continually impressed with how great Tyler is at being an uncle. There's never a task too big or small for him to do for those kids that he obviously loves so much, and as the only girl, I'm thinking he's got a special soft spot for London. Paul was looking rough on the morning of day 2. Hope he got better quickly. I love how Chris works that song lyric into so many situations. A lot of times it doesn't really make sense, but it's still funny. Looks like they let you buy a hat at the merch table. Glad to see that. Would have been an odd concert without you wearing a hat. The audio book is amazing. Five days of travel to and from work I listened. Some days arriving at work looking a though I had a rough night from crying. Smiling at the work God has done in your life. You have made me interested in learning more about God. I am a dog tag Christian…saved 10+ yrs ago by reciting a prayer, having no different feeling as I was pulled from the water. The journey from being completely broken and at the depths of despair, crying out to Jesus to bring you back from the darkest moment to an understanding and faith beyond what your heart could ever imagine. Grace is what you receive. Granger, I’m not sure you will ever read this but I have to thank you for putting your heart and soul into this book. The River references flow through every page. I think Granger is right that a lot of people who read the book will go in with no context or foreknowledge of who he is or about the incident, but speaking on behalf of someone who has been following The Smiths and has been connected to you folks since 2018 when Riv was still on this side of heaven, it was equally as beautiful, if not more to read the book and experience it all written from the deepest parts of Grangers heart, because i felt I had such a deep connection to the story as I had witnessed all of it through the eyes of the Smiths beforehand. You almost feel like you’re apart of it as you remember watching some of the stuff he was willing to share over the years. Absolutely LOVE this book and you guys! ❤️❤️❤️

I have been reading the book after it arrived. I read the book in 2 days. It is so moving, heartfelt and triumpful through god all things happen. And with every event God was there with you. You wrote the book so down to earth, that it brought tears at times. But, there was always a miracle god in the picture. So awesome. I have learned in life God does answer but, it is always by chance you acknowledge he is there with you as you go. I loved your book! Smile Ive been there , but in a different scenerio. What a title!!! My 27 yr old daughter died outta tge blue from a blood clot and is a momma to a 7 yr old and a 2 year old!! We all are in shock!! She has 3 siblings and nieces and nephews it’s a mess I’m just broken a complete shell of myself and her husband is a zombie that cries, we are doing a fundraiser for funeral expenses and to help him raise the kids since he never expected To be a single dad and no one was prepared cuz this is so tragic and quick… help can anyone share the go fund me that’s all I ask? 4:15

I don't know the music and don't really want or need that. I only first heard of Granger on June 4 of this year and started watching the Smiths and the Granger Smith videos. I love the family vids and the book is on the way to my house. Praise Jesus for His mercies and love!
Granger, I was diagnosed in March with Breast Cancer (everything is going good). So I’ve been kind of missing some of my favorite channels. I’ve caught a few with Amber and the kids. But I just realized I haven’t seen you in a while. I don’t remember your hair being so gray (men can do that… go gray and still be handsome). I’m 65 so I’m NO stranger to gray hair. Now I feel like I need to go watch your channel a year ago and see if my memory is playing tricks on me. Congratulations on your books release!! Just hearing the title can make me cry. What a sweetheart. And what a guardian angel you have watching over your family!! Thanks for sharing your story. Your life!♥️♥️♥️
It is more gray now, and it also shows more when he lets his hair grow out and is unshaven.

I cannot fathom experiencing what you and your family have experienced, but please know that so many pray for you all. I remember when I first heard the news of River and although I do not know you personally I was just so shattered and my heart just was bleeding for you all. My little granddaughter Lillian's birthday is June 4th and my grandson Everett's birthday is August 20th. Two significant days for you all also. Can’t know what you truly went through as mine was different. My son age 5 got a DPT shot had a grand mall seizure. Collapsed I ended up starting him breathing 5 times restarted his heart 3 times. In the end he lived but part of his brain died 33 years later and I still beat myself up for him not being right
