The mudroom would make a great litter box spot, easy access for kitties and convenient cleaning from outside the rig.

I had a look at the Ace models and some are nice. 🚐 It all depends on your lifestyle and budget. 💰 This one is not a HUGE class A like I'd imagine when I think Class A. But, it has tons of room and space built into the floor plan.

Not too big and not too small....just the right size.

I wish there would be driver's side door, it's so annoying to go back and forth through the main door when you travel or fixing something

I'd like to see all sales people to take motorhomes for a test drive. Would like to know what the noise level is with have the engine in the front. Driving and NOT talking to mask the sounds. Put the camera just beside the driver or on a mount close to the engine cover. But it's all about the features and not what it sounds like. Also would like to hear what the generator sounds like while sitting on the dinning room table. Simple things like that, but no one ever does it.

Hey Jeff, I like the idea but it's tough to get an actual idea without truly being there. Audio is easily skewed by your listening device, volume, etc. It's really hard to get an accurate representation without driving it yourself. I will say that the newer gas models are quieter on the highway than they used to be thanks to the 6 speed transmission Ford introduced on the F-53 chassis a couple years back. That being said, you will certainly hear the engine...for awhile at least. For myself, I eventually just get used to it and really don't notice after about 20 miles or so unless I'm merging on to the highway or something where I'm at high RPM's. If engine noise is a big concern, then I recommend looking into a diesel pusher (perhaps a used one as it'll be more budget friendly and possibly more in line with a new gas). Hopefully this helps a little and thanks for the comment!

Also, a bolt popped through the main slideout and tore the vinyl flooring, don't want to back it out completely and put never seize on it, I'm afraid the whole frame could drop the way things are going

I have a 2017 thor ace 27.2, had it in 3 times for the back bedroom door, it kept falling off while underway, they never fixed it properly so I secured it permanently. Back up camera to this day works occasionally, they never fixed that either! Hydraulic levelers failed, they have no idea why, the pump and motor blew, cost for repair - $4800!!!! Haven't fixed it yet, trying to repair myself, I level the coach with wooden boards. In my opinion spend the extra money and buy anything but a Thor!! Oh yeah forgot, the back slideout failed - $900 repair, also the toilet constantly plugs cause the the drain line to the tank is on angle, we don't put paper in the toilet - who hell designed THAT! Also had to replace the shower after 1 yr of occasional use, they leaked!

You had me right up to the V-10. Why are the majority of RVs not using diesel?

    • @campingworld
      @campingworld  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Bomguy, the gas Class A motorhome market is vastly outselling the diesel market right now. Thor does make plenty of diesel motorcoaches as well, however they are easily two to four times the cost of this coach as is very common of a diesel pusher. If a shorter Class A is what you're after, you may want to look at the Thor Palazzo. It has a good entry level diesel price point and will give you a little extra HP and torque for climbing hills. Thanks for watching and happy RV hunting!

Camping World Thanks for the reply. I get it that the gas engines are cheaper and if you don’t use it very often then there ya go. Now if you use it a lot and tow anything the torque on a diesel is unbeatable.

You can add a turbo for around 10k which would increase your torque and hp by 50 to 90 percent.

Nice, but if the dinette was on the camp side it would be perfect.. don’t know why most manufacturers put dinettes on the driver side. I don’t get it..

Too bad but a potential deal breaker could be the bed over the cockpit only rated for 250 lbs. Not strong enough for 2 adults.

If you're an adult you DO NOT want to sleep up there, it's basically meant for kids only, there's very little headroom, it's a little claustrophobic

Do you have to have the master slide out to sleep in the bed?

Brian, yes you do. Unfortunately that is almost always the case when you have a rear bath/slideout bed combo. Great questions and thanks for watching!

Where are the automatic leveling controls?

6:03 It is the black rectangular control in front of the cup holder on the driver's side armrest. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

You may find some useful things from Camping World but Thor is producing Garbage on Wheels. Bought a 2018 and found Rust, horrible workmanship and have had several product failures. As for Thor's service department, yes they will answer the phone but it will take you months to sort on some very basic requests.
