For people who want it to make sense we can make it like this SpringBonnie has a counterpart that is a devil and changes whatever is its victim. So when its counterpart faded Foxy was infected like the others and became a murderer, and since Freddy wasn't infected, he tried to kill Springbonnie.

Wrong. The wires are connected and so, if they snap the wires, they are killing their "vains" then it can't run properly, and so if they rewire them, then they can kill them without damaging the metal
