I try to get the younger people I work with to start investing now and dont wait. I tell them if I applied what I know now at 20 we would not even be having this conversation as I would be rich by now. Im 53 and just started, made many mistakes and now I'm playing the serious catch up game!

I started maxing out my two kids Roth's with their earned $ since they were 17 years old. I taught them about the biggest scams in our society, regular banking, buying new cars often, over charged higher education,... and *blaming others for where you are in life*.
I keep telling them "figure out what you like to do in life".

Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.

Two ears 1 mouth is important not because you are simply supposed to listen. It means take in and have a second means of information to confirm it is valid and true. Hence why there are two ears. You can hear where it is, then you can validate what you hear by your eyes and vice versa. It is your body telling you that senses are flawed and why we have 5 of them so that we can validate our perceptions.

Professor, I did everything discussed in my late 20s but I always borrowed to invest and wrote the interest payments off. Around age 27 borrowed 100 K (I had about 100k saved of my own money)and placed it all in mutual funds and later stocks and AtFs. The interest payments where around 4 to 6% a year (I told my banker I wanted an interest only loan with everything placed in blue chips). In Canada, one can write all investment interest payments off so I was paying only 4 to 6 K year after tax floating 100k + that was compounding. Frankly i rarely invested more than 10% of my net income. But had 2 million by age 45. Yes, I make a very good income at work. But this concept is a gold mine when your principal is compounding and your loan is not. Leverage of 30% should be a goal of all younger investors who have excellent employment prospects.

Hi , first I appreciate your video. BUT I have a question , How about my suggestion of 8 FUNDs Portofolio: 1. Foundational as SPY , 2. Growth as QQQ, 3. Dividend as SCHD, 4. Income or Option as JEPQ or JEPI, 5. Real Estate as VNQ, 6. Gold as GDX, 7. International as VXUS, 8. Bonds as BND. The last 4 ETF categories' in minor percantage? in additions to some cash as BIL. Thanks

Great video professor G. Was wondering if you can make an updated video on the best websites and mobile apps to buy ETFs in the long run? I was also thinking about the different accounts to buy these ETFs (roth ira, 401k, etc? pros/cons, etc.) Thank you!

Investing more in ETFs and mutual funds is a game-changer! I used to try and beat the market, but now I just let it work for me. Though, I must admit, I do miss the thrill of individual stocks sometimes. What's your take on a mix of both?

dividends always come off the balance sheet making the company worth less. This is usually reflected as a lower share price. You cannot expect a dividend stock to maintain its purchase price.

The market may crash this week since the east coast ports may be on strike. Apm terminal is associated with black rock and it seems like they are purposely holding up the signing of a new contract to create a buying opportunity for them.

At 35, I’ve learned 20 wealth gamechangers that I wish I had known at 25. From mastering the power of compound interest to understanding the true value of networking, these lessons could have accelerated my financial growth. Prioritizing long-term investments over short-term gains, building multiple income streams, and embracing calculated risks are just a few strategies that can make a massive difference. If I had applied these principles earlier, the road to financial independence would have been much smoother. Don’t wait-start now and let these insights transform your wealth-building journey
