Another great video Professor G , it was a pleasure to meet you finally during our private coaching session today , your knowledge , presentation and professionalism. You helped me a lot to have a direction and a plan investing in preparation for retirement, thank you and I just hope more and more people benefit from your videos
I started investing in dividends with my taxable account. I used the buy and hold strategy in my Roth, adding some Berkshire B stock, SCHD, and an S&P 500 and total market exchange-traded fund.
When I started investing last year, I avoided significant mistakes. I've focused on investing modest sums in stable businesses for the long term. If stocks perform well, I hold onto them; otherwise, I reinvest losses into profits. Recently, I made $9.5k from a $4k investment in NVIDIA.
Exactly, a good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisor, but over the past 10years, I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $3million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure and that's fine by me.
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
I try to get the younger people I work with to start investing now and dont wait. I tell them if I applied what I know now at 20 we would not even be having this conversation as I would be rich by now. Im 53 and just started, made many mistakes and now I'm playing the serious catch up game!
I started maxing out my two kids Roth's with their earned $ since they were 17 years old. I taught them about the biggest scams in our society, regular banking, buying new cars often, over charged higher education,... and *blaming others for where you are in life*. I keep telling them "figure out what you like to do in life".
I just finished watching all of your videos. You have grown in videography and editing and presentation. I am much more prepared as a result of your efforts. I understand so much more about investing now. Hang tough Professor G!

Great videos as usual. My biggest concern is protecting my investment to tamp down taxes in retirement. Can you make a video talking SS benefit, pension income, traditional ira/401 withdrawal and RMDs and planning strategic withdrawal from retirement accounts. Thanks again.
This!! I'm *only* 42 with plenty of time to risk still, but TAXES is what keeps me up at night. As Professor G says "It's not what you make, it's how much you can keep!"
I've been putting 15% of my income into retirement since age 23. I'm now 34, and I've got $128k in my retirement plus an additional $60k in a personal brokerage account where I'm buying VOO, VUG, SCHD and Tesla as my super giant growth stock for long term. I'm also going to have a nice pension plus SS hopefully, so I'll have 3 sources of income by the time I retire. Hopefully it will be enough to support my desires to travel .
Thank you for the good advices!! Also, I followed your strategy about include SCHD in my portfolio, and you're absolutely right. When growth etfs go down, usually the value ones go up, and viceversa. Can you consider doing a video about bonds? I have a small amount of BIL, but I don't know if it will work
Professor, I did everything discussed in my late 20s but I always borrowed to invest and wrote the interest payments off. Around age 27 borrowed 100 K (I had about 100k saved of my own money)and placed it all in mutual funds and later stocks and AtFs. The interest payments where around 4 to 6% a year (I told my banker I wanted an interest only loan with everything placed in blue chips). In Canada, one can write all investment interest payments off so I was paying only 4 to 6 K year after tax floating 100k + that was compounding. Frankly i rarely invested more than 10% of my net income. But had 2 million by age 45. Yes, I make a very good income at work. But this concept is a gold mine when your principal is compounding and your loan is not. Leverage of 30% should be a goal of all younger investors who have excellent employment prospects.
Hi , first I appreciate your video. BUT I have a question , How about my suggestion of 8 FUNDs Portofolio: 1. Foundational as SPY , 2. Growth as QQQ, 3. Dividend as SCHD, 4. Income or Option as JEPQ or JEPI, 5. Real Estate as VNQ, 6. Gold as GDX, 7. International as VXUS, 8. Bonds as BND. The last 4 ETF categories' in minor percantage? in additions to some cash as BIL. Thanks

Great video professor G. Was wondering if you can make an updated video on the best websites and mobile apps to buy ETFs in the long run? I was also thinking about the different accounts to buy these ETFs (roth ira, 401k, etc? pros/cons, etc.) Thank you!
On it!
Always appreciate the finance knowledge! I also like how you highlight your girlfriend in your channel...Are we going to see a "Relationships Simplified" channel in the future? 😂
haha you never know!
Dividends are king. Where can I get more info on your financial coaching?
👑🙏 I appreciate you my friend!
Professor G would SCHX or SCHB be on pare with VTI, if so which is better choice in comparison to VTI. Awesome content and great channel
dividends always come off the balance sheet making the company worth less. This is usually reflected as a lower share price. You cannot expect a dividend stock to maintain its purchase price.
Our Govt knows how to print money for sure!!!
What do you recommend to do with the Port Strike news? What to buy, sell, hold? Or can you make a video about this? Ty
Sept Dip-buying Soaring Higher Today..EV and AI sectors. Thumbs Up video/ comments. Thanks.

I have a question and I hope you reply, I have Voo, Schd, Qqqm

“Just because it worked in the past, doesn’t mean it’ll work in the future”
As an aging male, I have certain body parts that agree with this statement..
🤣😝
Investing more in ETFs and mutual funds is a game-changer! I used to try and beat the market, but now I just let it work for me. Though, I must admit, I do miss the thrill of individual stocks sometimes. What's your take on a mix of both?
Sounds like you’d better put a ring on it 💍
Parkway Drive! 🔥

Great video professor. Wondering if there's any difference between VITSX and VOO. Seems like they both track exactly the same. Hope everyone has a great weekend
Very very similar returns and it will have a lot of overlap yes
The market may crash this week since the east coast ports may be on strike. Apm terminal is associated with black rock and it seems like they are purposely holding up the signing of a new contract to create a buying opportunity for them.
Hey man I have a question. Do you think VXUS or IDHQ is a better hold for life? I prefer VXUS’ diversification but also prefer IDHQ’s returns.
If I had to pick an international fund I do like VXUS best
I was your student in CBU and I was watching your videos when you had 1thousand subscibers creazy compound man !!! haha
I want to get “Stupid Rich”! 🤑😎

I wish I knew about index funds at 25. I always thought stocks was gambling 😢

No one can beat the market consistently? Have you heard of Jim Simons? the Medallion Fund?
