Welcome to Throwback Thursday's where I teach you a classic hit from the last 4-5 decades! This week, by request, I'll be covering a Time Of Your Life (Good Riddance) Guitar Tutorial from Green Day. incase anyone needs to hear it you’re doing great, this is a really difficult song and it takes time, give yourself time and you’ll get it i promise, i haven’t got it yet but i can do it relatively quickly, everyone learns at different paces and you need to respect yours

I have very low-confidence about playing guitar, cuz I always think I'm gonna suck. But because I love green day so much nowadays, I wanted to give a shot to this song. It always seems so frustrating at first at guitar when it’s slow then BOOM the guitar then feels… better and easier after a month or two, that’s why you should stay motivated, I learnt the guitar in 6 months!
Well, at what point have you actually "learned" to play? I understand what you mean with making the leaps and strides in what you can do, but we all have different goals. Some may be impossible to achieve (face melting solos). Others just want to play chords.
@@seinfan9 That depends on the time you devote to practice and learning. If you have the time to do it 2 or 3 hours a day you can learn to play decent in a month or two. Me, I didn't play it very often more like 15-20 minutes a day so it took me time
@@seinfan9 If you want to play tabs or chords that shouldn't take long to master some of the easier chords and tabs and 2-3 weeks to get some of the harder ones. Like I said it's all about the time you spend playing
@@seinfan9 If you're passionate about learning it shouldn't take that much time.
“I learned the guitar in 6 months” bruh 😂 what’s your definition of “learned” then, after six months I could play basic songs / few barre chords.
Don’t forget about improvising, electric guitar, finger style, lead guitar, palm muting, solo’s etc etc.
I wish everybody taught like you!!!!
to be completly honest, the strumming pattern is killing me
try using your fingers to play it i find it a lot easier hen using a pick

I'm slowly getting it! I wrote down the string numbers and whether its an upstroke or downstroke, and it helps!
