  • The March concert features a collection of hits from the 1980's and inspirational songs performed by the ARISE Ringers, Singers, and Stringers. In addition, Show Band musicians Dana Rawlings and Stephen Cavaretta will be featured soloists on the program.
The ARISE Music Ensemble is under the direction of E. Martene Craig. Members come from several churches in the Inland Empire. They share a wide repertoire of music including spirituals, well-known hymns and gospel songs, folk and show tunes, country, patriotic, and seasonal selections. The awesome sound of bells combined with striking vocals makes every presentation an exciting event. They serve in a variety of venues that include churches, retirement homes, concert halls, and prisons. ARISE will perform "Phantom of the Opera" and "Rolling In the Deep" and join the Show Band in "You'll Never Walk Alone/Climb Every Mountain" and "Love In Any Language." The ensemble will also perform pre-concert selections on stage from 7:00-7:20 p.m.
The Show Band is fortunate to have outstanding musicians in its membership. Several of them will be featured soloists on the concert. Flutist and oboe player Dana Rawlings will be featured on an exciting arrangement of the Whitney Houston hit "I Wanna Dance with Somebody." First trombonist Stephen Cavaretta will perform the 1984 hit by The Cars entitled "Drive."
The Show Band will perform several instrumental compositions entitled, "I'm Alright" from the movie Caddyshack, and the Michael Jackson hit song "Billie Jean."
The performance will be narrated by Chaffey Adult School Principal Dr. George Matamala and retired Chaffey Joint Union High School District Charles Uhalley.
