I would LOVE to see that worked into the design. Makes for such a multi-purpose and versatile addition to an already capable pack. They're on the right track with this bag...I think it's already great, but with minor tweaks will be phenomenal.
Watched all 3 parts , great thorough review! , I really appreciate reviews like this . And I think all your ideas on how to improve the pack are spot on. Looking to buy this pack but holding out to see if they make some refinements ... I would also love to see them make this pack in 1 size larger as well , maybe like a 55 liter pack . Or like you said , the day pack attachment could really take the capabilities of this pack to another level . Another point you made that I would like to see addressed is that molle on the sides , can’t stand saggy attachments flopping around
Thanks, yeah, overall it is a GREAT backpack. I don't think you'll see the V2.0 for a while yet...but I know they are considering what the changes will be for that pack. I would love a 55L version, but it will be heavy on fabric weight alone...similar to Eberlestock...who's pack are in the 6-8 lb range often times. Very capable, but heavy. Anyway, I find I use the pack without the Beaver Tail most of the time...and for me the tail doesn't add much additional function where an add on day pack would be EPIC. Thanks for watching!
Thinking about buying this pack as my get home bag, I currently have the 5.11 rush 72 loaded with 32.5 lbs and although I love the compartment-ability of the bag, I walked about a mile with the load out and it carried terrible. I’ve watched dozens of videos on this vanquest and your review has been hands down the most comprehensive, honest and real world review of the pack. All the other “ you tubers “ wear the bag practically empty and tell you it wears great. What a joke. The bag is a little expensive and I really wanted to be sure it would suit my needs before I bought a new pack. Again your review was stellar both in honesty and comprehensiveness of the product. Going to pull the trigger on the bag. Thank you so much.
You'll be in great shape with the Markhor 45. At 32-35 lbs, it will carry like a dream. I have another video that I never posted of a hike I did last year with my son. I carried 57 lbs in the Markhor over 6 miles in the mountains. It was heavy as hell, but it hauled that load. The only consideration is that the padding is a touch short on the waist belt. It'll be fine with weight into the 30's, but past the mid 40's, it might bug you a bit after significant distance. Other than that, it's a workhorse!
outer limitless hello. Pulled the trigger on the markhor 45. I tried on my 5.11rush 72 again loaded with 32.5 lbs and after walking a block on the sidewalk my back was gone. Love the durability and organization of the 5.11 but it carries terrible and if I can’t carry it in an SHTF / get home situation, it isn’t any good. I also ordered vanquest sticky accessory pouches, I’m OCD and everything need to be organized. Lol. I’ll let you know when I get it maybe I can send you some pictures of the bag loaded out. Thanks again for the great honest review.
Bags definitely worth the time probably my favorite bag I know of. Great job letting us get a good look at the bag really helps people make a decision on this bag that isn’t cheap but not overpriced either quality costs money and everything I have made by vanquest is great I have keen boots a few years old a pair of Salomon boots that are brand new and then my vanquest hiking boots that are 10 yrs plus old and really starting to look beat up but most of the time I still pick my Vanquest boots still very comfortable and rugged. Great bag series👍✌️.
Thanks...I usually go into detail on products. But 3 videos about one bag is how seriously I thought this bag was to look closely at. This has so much potential for future advancement and innovation...It's really cool to see Vanquest going in this direction.
Thanks! Great bag overall...I would love to be a designer for this stuff someday! Maybe they'll just incorporate some of the little extras at some point?? Thanks for watching!
_It appears you want to go Car Camping on your back. Remember, "The more you know, the less you carry" ~ Mors Kochanski. Thanks for the in-depth review of this pack._
Instead of horizontal zippers for the two other internal pockets they could put two vertical zippers off to the side of the webbing. Then all the webbing could stay as is.
Great point...that might be about perfect actually...would certainly aid in accessibility. I really tend to like the vertical pockets on the outer panels too...good idea!
I really like the idea of the beaver tail as a daypack. That just make too much sense, and doesn't seem like it would take that much to implement.

And vanquest service is excellent too... not that I expect you'll need it!
Thanks for the comments and great luck... keep me posted about what you do. I'm curious how things go!
outer limitless I will. Stay safe brother. Again, thank you so much.

Although experience generally leads to carrying less, it also depends on what kind of trip you want or what your scenario is...
Personally I’ve learned...from years of experience....that every idiot that scales down there fear set...ultimately fails and relies on others.

I really did like your skull mojo, where could i get one like it?
I had it custom carved for me by a guy named Jonathan Jekic...he does nice work!

My opinion vanquest keep the 500d codura
Good detailed review .
Sounds like a lot more PROS than Cons.
I think just a small waterproof flap over that zipper would stop that moisture.
Yeah, the flap alone would probably do it...good point! I didn't think of that...but I think you are spot on...simple flap will solve that easy.
