From what I remember, the AI's occasional weird order in q1 is caused by the top teams using primes by default, and refusing to switch to options even if they're at risk. This is part of why drivers like Massa are almost always right on the bubble of going out

Isn't there is a realism ai mod which makes the ai slightly faster and much more realistic to race with.
