      We have internet, TV, cell phones, the whole nine. My cell phone works nearly everywhere minus a couple of small dead spots. We have fairly decent internet, too. Some people even spring for gigabit service.

      Good question. I have Verizon and was able to get a signal at that time. Hope someone will give the best answer. Sorry - I don’t live there and I would not want to tell you wrong. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      I can tell you that regardless of the phone carrier, service is super duper poor unless you go downtown. Even the LAN line service is poor. Don't forget, the town is literally in a forest.

      @@ziggysmom5646 No, we actually have good phone reception if you have Verizon. There are only a couple of small dead spots out in the county, but very few and far between. They have been working on getting more signal out to those areas, though the NIBY's are the slowdown.

    • @gothnate
      @gothnate 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rickjones6505 Up to gigabit speeds depending on your location. Closer to town the faster your connection. Honestly, though, I'd go with Starlink if you have a clear overhead, then you wouldn't have to worry about being close to town. Town sucks. Nothing to do and 20,000 cars driving through per day at least. Georgia Road going south is a shit-show. There's an accident nearly every day on that stretch of road. The Sylva Road going north will probably be closed down eventually if Cowee Mountain doesn't get fixed. Half of the road is collapsing and falling down the mountain. Pretty soon, 28 North will be the only way to get to Sylva, Cherokee, Bryson City, and beyond.

    That's not a good video of Franklin. Must have been filmed over a couple of days because the sun and the rain and intermixed videos don't mix. Should have waited for a blue sky day

    • @hi-techhikers
      @hi-techhikers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Tom Cwik. Appreciate your comments and shooting it straight with me. The video was actually done in one flight . The weather was changing pretty fast that day and I would love to go back one day and catch Franklin on a blue sky day. Thanks again for your comments my Friend.
