Bro didn’t build a brand. He had nickmercs build his brand and then did him dirty in the end. The time nickmercs was setting off with the viewership with like 80k daily on fortnite he promised nickmercs ownership with 100t and nickmercs was blasting his stream with the brand all over it. Then nadeshot swept the rug and dipped once Drake and other co-signed the brand. At the time nadeshot was getting maybe 3-5k viewers per stream so let’s stop with the cap.

So sad this is how he felt at the time. Nade was the reason I loved optic competitively. I met him at MLG Columbus during AW and he was such an absolute gentleman to us and a small crowd that all bothered him while he was getting lunch. Nade is simply one of the best CoD players of all time. We all gotta respect what he did in game and for the scene as a whole.

Nadeshot was the face of Optic for so long. He was the one that helped bring the first huge sponsers to COD and OPTIC with Red Bull.
At the time there was no future in streaming/competing in COD. He was one of the pioneers that made it incredibly popular at the time, and he doesn't get enough credit for what he did for COD, COD streaming, and competitive COD.
Before him and people like him, it was mostly just game battles and a couple major tournaments a year. Now it's an entire corporation.

Aww man it’s horrible to hear Thats how he felt the consensus was towards him…to me, all throughout BO2, Ghosts and AW, not only was he the constant in the team (Scump leaving for NV) but he was also a coach/IQ at that point rather than a slayer. He was and always will be regarded higher than what he thinks he was.

What a lot of people, even other pro players seem to have forgot is that he was the entry point for A LOT of people into the pro cod scene. A huge part of the rise of pro cod was all the work nadeshot put in.
Hell, back in the day I didnt even know pro cod was a thing until I found nadeshot.

This is such a throwback for me cuz I started watching comp cod back when it was bigtymer, scump, nade & boze. I watched the evolution of that team & the hate that nade got throughout it first hand so to hear him explain it a little is interesting to look back it.

Im late on this clip forsure, but I think from his point of view the hate he was receiving was alot more louder than what I saw and felt during his time competing. Out of anyone of that roster Nadeshot was the number one person that drew me in and what led me to love competitive cod. I vividly remember telling my parents on multiple occasions that him and hecz were my role models and my mother being confused as hell why im telling them i look up to these guys in the 6th grade.

100% everyone acted like other teams were dog water, but looking back at it you played some of the best slayers in call of duty history, some of them even went on to win titles in other shooters and thinking everyone will drop 35-40+ kills going double positive against THAT type of talent is just insane.

There's always the guy on a team being an anchor and supporting the players out there getting most of the kills. It's rare anyone understands that or appreciates it.

  • @Asilv-t2n

I think a key thing to take a way is that even though he stopped talking when everyone on the team would tell him to shut up when crimsix was talking, proves that he was the goat cause he understood that going on and just trying to speak up would take away from the team. You don’t have to drop 40 kills to be a team player, you have to understand what’s right for the team at the time and that is one thing I learned from watching Nade over the years. It’s not about being on top of your team, it’s about making sure your team is on top over other teams. All love for Nade, he’s the Cod Father

its funny because i specifically remember talking about this like a decade ago in relation to roster roles
you have your slayer sub running around getting all the kills you have the anchor ar who controls the map the slayer ar doing a mix of both and the objective player who runs the flags and sits in the hardpoints and enables the other guys as best he can
it always absolutely made 0 sense to me why people blamed the objective players as the weak points on their team because it was so obvious that it was how it was supposed to be
its just funny how across every competitive esports the objective centric roles are ALWAYS the scapegoats

I was rocking with OpTic from inception. In fact, BO1 was when I came back to gaming and picked up a 360. Xbox color was green, OpTic green and I loved money (that is green). Nade & Scump were the reasons I never jumped ship to another team.
It's really hard now to root for OpTic and 100T. OpTic will always be #1 though. Everything happens for a reason. 100T would not exist if it didn't go down the way it did.

I remember playing against nade a few times. We mostly played aox, pure talent teams, almost and always whatever team they would be on, envy, fear, all the big ones at that time. We had a lot of guys from complexity on our team. Team Denied 2010 TL champions. One of our guys tried out for envy in the back leg and made it but can’t remember his tag. Also who could forget crim? 🤣🤣 we would all be cancelled if anyone heard that shit talk back then. Shoutout to anyone that played during that time because that was so fun, win or lose. My friend that introduced me to cod isn’t alive anymore so these times will always be special to me.
