Well I say it's "please don't be unkind, I'm out of my mind" & "you can't harm me, because I'm barmy." Still one of Motorhead's alltime classics though. A happy day indeed when I nailed the guitar riffs. Lemmy once played Over The Top with The Damned (as The Doomed) & they screwed it up.
If anyone isn't aware, likely (my guess) this song is regarding the Great war history (world war one). So they had trench warfare in the great war. Going over the top would be to get your ass over the top of the trench and storm the enemy's trench. Scary shit.
