- Spring time hunting. Fresh growth on the flats, hungry deer and dumb yearlings. Spring is a great time of year to harvest some meat for the freezer and get sorted for those summer barbeques!
Raddy and Mitch set off on a weekend pack training trip with the aim to bring home some venison. Watch along as the boys venture into some unknown public land and make a pretty funny mistake on an unlikely find. Luckily it wasn't their only chance!

Having hunted the blue mountains in tapanui with my dad for many years, fallow deer are predominant there, first time I saw one, it was like on your video, wasn't running as like a red, but hopping like at real speed

Cheers! We've got a few we swap between, nikon P1000 for animal shots, Sony ZV1 for yarns/general, gopro 9 for time-lapses and rainy days, dji mini 2 for the drone
Familiar spot but have never seen fallow there. I wonder if they are the first to turn up there or they have been in the area for a while. Haven't been there for a few years so a bit out of touch with deer numbers. Enjoy your vids, thanks
