yes once in while: hitting your feet on sharp stones or walking into broken glass

Yes you can try and learn it.. Usually there is a a program to be a monk for 1-2 weeks like in Indonesia. And those who are comfortable being a monk, they will continue as a permanent monk.

@@GowithJerome yes, you can use your precious time to be a monk. You can visit Thailand, Burma, or Sri Lanka. There are many monastaries for foreigner. So you can understand easily to learn Dhamma.

For the shaving process for monk is less than 2 months or you hair should not be more than 2 inches / 2 fingers-breadth.
So if your hair is more than 2 inches/ 2 fingers-breadth eventhough it is still 1 month, you need to shave it.

at wat Phu Kongtong: as long as you are healthy and willing to be trained as a monk. I think the same holds true for wat pa baan taad
