My favorite scopes for break-barrel springers are the Hammers brand scopes. I've been using them for years and they hold zero perfectly, focus down to like 7yds, are really clear, and I've never had a problem! They have the 4-12x 40ao and the 3-9x 32ao, both with mil-dot reticles and they come with a 1-piece mount that has a locking pin that works with the holes in the dovetail to keep it from moving, because that's another thing that "magnum springer" recoil does! ...it can make the scope creep over time! ...and the scope always creeps forward, because the negative recoil of the spring or gas-ram stopping is more violent or shocking than the usual recoil that is also felt when firing these guns. It's this "double recoil" that will shake the reticle loose in even the most expensive scopes!

I have a solid backstop in my 30 yard garden range. Stops every pellet and every ricochet. I have been shooting in the garden for years. I tend to shoot in the winter more than the spring and summer as I won’t shoot if the neighbours are in their garden. I am lucky to have big fences between our gardens also and we get on ok as neighbours.
