  • Blake is stunned about Roger's death and Sebastian offers his sympathy. When Holly arrives at Towers she is skeptical. At first she refuses to believe that Roger is dead; it must be a sick joke of Roger's but when Sebastian offers proof and conducts a moving ceremony, both Holly and Blake begin the grieving process. Sebastian reveals that he is Rogers son and he has come to town to finish what Roger started. He needs both Blake and Hollys help. When Ross breaks the news of Rogers death to Alan after Blake has called him and told him, Alan is overjoyed that he has outlived his mortal enemy. Phillip however now believes that he must apply Rogers ruthlessness into getting back at Harley. Phillip, Alan and Ross end up stuck in an elevator while going to Towers. When they finally get out, Ross comforts Holly & Blake while Alan gloats over Roger's urn. Meanwhile back on the Towers terrace Sebastian says to himself that "He is not dead. He is just away."

Roger was the msn you loved to hate. Zaslow did a fantastic job playing the iconic Roger Thorpe. No one will ever come close to what he brought.

One of the best things I remembered about Roger Thorpe character is he is a villian to GL regular Villians like The Spaulding family. He is one of a kind

I don't think they needed to kill Roger onscreen. Michael Zaslow had been dead for years when this was done. How tacky. The B&B has still never killed off Sally Spectra, and her portrayer has been dead for over a decade. They just always say she is living it up on some island. 5 years later, GL was dead. The show should have been courageous enough to write Zaslow's illness into the show. That would have been a powerful storyline and may have brought back viewers who by this point were bored and disgusted and not tuning in. I was one of them.

Why they believed it? They knew that Roger was good at faking his death.

Holly didn't at first... but then again, who was gonna play him? Michael Zaslow was well beyond dead around this time (rest his soul).
However, Alan was more than happy that he outlived his longtime enemy.

There was so much potential with this story, but it fizzled big time. Sebastian could've been a great character.

Yes, Michael Zaslow kicked the door open for the "next" Generation of Villians. Stefano DiMera, Palmer Cortlandt, Adam Chander, and Victor Newman. At The Soap Opera Digest Awards when they gave him a Posthumous Award Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) and David Canary (Adam Chandler) (RIP) knew that in some ways they were riding on his Shoulders. Also Michael had more "Soap Experience" than either one of them. In The UK there was Leslie Grantham who played Dennis "Dirty Den" Watts on Eastenders. He Left, came back but it wasn't the same, and even ended up Homeless for a hot minute but he survived. He died as well.

this actor was is way too creepy to have played his " other " son at least Hart his son from some woman Blake's half brother but this guy is just creepy ......they tried to make him like Roger kidnapping Holly .....glad when they finally got rid of him .........,Michael Zaslow deserved better same way they killed off Alan at the end of the finale of gl in a tasteful respectful way 😖

It did seem like the head writer wanted this actor's character to pick up where Roger left off. Started good...and fell flat. And, yes, the actor did give off an always creepy vibe.
