Citizen should report facts.. Their is no Old Kijabe Dam! Its the obstruction of the 'a river tunnel' which is approx 100m long man made river tunnel by bolders and debris that caused the flood waters to back up and accumulate over the last week into the pre-tunnel massive ravine forming a massive dam. The river tunnel is known by hikers as 'Dark Tunnel'. This obstruction was eventually overcome by the weight and pressure of the water and the water finally bursted through the tunnel down the valley all the way to Mai Mahiu sweeping everything on its path. As we speak their is another tunnel that is obstructed on Kijabe railway and the water has collected into a similar ravine and very soon we might have another catastrophic event like this.
Life is surely unfair. Somebody just woke up in the morning very healthy, no financial or relationship problems. Then in a few minutes you hear that he is dead, swept away by flood waters. R I P.
