Since so many things have changed in the world since the printing of his first book, how have things changed for all of the key nations he has outlined? Example: Alberta political party upheavals and unification and recent pipeline struggles. Also you have some surprisingly good audio for a channel if your size, but the camera positioning and framing feels a little too close for comfort. Subscribed
Mr. Walleye, thanks for subscribing and sharing your question! The changes for the key nations is a huge topic to keep Peter's ideas moving forward. He says in the epilogue that readers can look him up in year 2040 to discuss how his predictions play out :) Thanks for the compliment about the audio, it's a huge priority for the channel, especially as the podcast comes along. Your point about the camera is noted too.
Mr. Walleye, I asked Peter your question and the full episode (with his answer!) will be posted early tomorrow morning. Thanks for contributing to the show!
I got one question I can see how the US can function (or even thrive) in a less free-trade oriented, with US security overwatch, world order, but what about nuclear weapons? Sure fortress America is secure from land, air, and sea invasions, but ICBMS exist, is MAD (mutually assured destruction) enough for our security?
redrave404, thanks for sharing your question! I think Peter has suggested that the limited range of nuclear weapons may protect us. I'll work this into the interview if he has time :)
6:35 3d imaging. Not printing. It allows us to find out exactly where the oil is for the purpose of fracking compared to 2d imaging with sonar. So infrastructure costs go down and production goes up. Also 4d imaging so we can see exactly where those oil reserves are in the rock
