Cleaning Up The Tri-ang Super 4 Main Layout Ready For Winter Running. The Pannier Tank On Full Test

While I've been away some debris has appeared on the railway. Also, somehow, a bird got into the loft and caused major disruption to the layout. It's all sorted out now and I took time to clean up some of the buildings on the front of the layout too. So it's back to mainline running this week with a sneak look at the items coming up next week as well. Thanks for looking and I hope you liked seeing the content today

The brush repair in the pannier certainly seems a big success and the class 31 going stronger than ever, great stuff. I look forward to seeing the B12 set and coaches next episode.

How Lovely to see another video upload when I finished work this morning.
The self made brushes seem to be working very well.
And nice to see the hotrod class 31 powering away on the big layout again.
Im Looking forward to seeing the review on the Triang set and coaches. I enjoy your vintage box opening reviews very much. There's Nothing quite like opening up a train set box and marvelling at the goodies within.
Im also hoping we might possibly see some more unusual or amazing clocks in the future please.

Thanks for the kind comments, I'm looking forward to the set as well. I have a selection of clocks in the workshop, the last out of the ordinary one was a Flip Clock, it had been damaged but I got it sorted in the end. Take care, all the best to you

Excellent return to the main layout Jonathan. A clear indication of a well built layout when it requires so little recommissioning after such a long break. Perhaps a cover would be a good idea to keep the uninvited visitors off the layout. I'm looking forward to seeing the set up and running next week along with the superb looking coaches you have acquired this year. Regards, David.

It's a pity that you were faced with the "clean-up" job, but I think that most of us have had to face a similar thing with our layouts sometime.. In activity on a layout, nearly always has a day or two of getting things going again?
We have a layout with old steel rails, and this is always a problem after a period of inactivity?
Your Locos are running well and pulling good loads.. The refurbished track seems to be standing up very well also..
This is all great to see..
Yours and Oscar's layouts are beautiful examples of "the golden years" of model railways... I try to never miss an episode of either..

Hi, I had a spider on my layout. It kept knocking the cows & horses over on the farm. I caught him & let him go yesterday. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. All the best. Carl.

Ive taken up my super 4 and TT type A track test track for a clean after a while plus a few locomotives have been serviced before it got colder

It can cause some damage having a small brown Richard the third in the railway room!

How did you nickleplate your track? You have a lovely little layout there & that track sure looks better than mine right now, trying to find an effective way of cleaning old track is not so easy lol
