I grew up in a military town and cheating was RAMPANT. The second the guys would deploy, the wives were in someone else’s house getting laid. The divorce and murder stats were high because of relationship drama. Left that place to go to college and never looked back.

Nah. It would ruin the character development. Sometimes things happen to let relationships break that weren’t meant to be. Even if not, that person deserves punishment for what they did, because it was their own decision. If a relationship was weak enough that the toxic lover thought about leaving then so be it. Story 1: it is so sad to me how many stories I hear about wives cheating on their deployed husbands... on top of that the fact if their little affair doesn't work out that they try to come crawling back, like why would they ever want you back you proved yourself to be unfaithful and untrustworthy.
Story 2: pretty sure there are laws against nepotism especially when your hiring people underqualified for the position to begin with. not to mention I'm pretty sure you could sue for wrongful termination on top of that.
Story 3: cut contact OP you found your own happiness you don't need a toxic example of what it means to be a man in your life any longer. cold turkey cut him out if you need to by getting a new number and a new pad.
Story 4: people always looking to save a buck even if they need to play dirty i would have kicked her out as she was clearly either trying to get you to lower prices or get a rise out of you to play the victim card.

Story 2. Yes there is but the businesses are protected because the average person doesn't have $10k to put into a lawsuit and no guarantees of a recoup of legal expenses. In short, you might win. Might get a settlement but still lose when you pay your own lawyer out of pocket. And if you reach a settlement out of court, you really not likely to get legal expenses. You paying your attorney out of pocket.
But what happened in this case is that the new guy only changed the key admin password in one location. All those different scripts had to be changed as well. Because the script likely compared its version of the password with the main admin password account location and if it differed not to run the script. In short, it was a poor man's IT Security protective measure.
My grandpa told me: you can burn bridges but dont expect to walk across it again.

When I was in the US Army in the 80's, we had an SSG and his wife cheated on him. The squadron commander had her sent back to the state's, gave the ssg an office job in order to take care of his kid's and allowed for a divorce to happen through military channels. The soldier that she cheated with also got a bcd, spent time at ft Riley in the disciplinary barracks as well.

Story 3: brother has a lot of issues but certainly his dad isn’t one of them, yes he can be a bit controlling and should be more supportive but the entitlement and the lack of appreciation is through the roof, what he doesn’t understand that men think that they should teach their boys everything they need to survive in life relying on themselves because they always think what will happen to him if i die tomorrow and they’re not good with expressing most emotions, That’s why a mother figure is important in a kid’s life. The father is always the cold hearted one to get their boys ready for the harsh world and for them to be exactly capable of handling it but sadly as great the father is the son didn’t learn from him and sadly will most probably learn from life as he grows older. And for the traditional masculinity comment I don’t know what he means by it but if it has cons then that’s your father’s mistakes because nobody is perfect or the broken society which obviously has impacted your judgment because in true masculinity there is no mistakes. And if he has toxic people in the family just avoid them and hang out with the ones he likes not very hard. First story-The wife is totally at fault but one thing needs to be answered about the husband. Why did he clone his wife's phone? He would have had to have done it before he deployed and before the wife cheating. Sounds like there were other issues with the marriage.

Well, there is a well known culture amongst US military personnel and cheating. It happens way too often. The guy took his losses and got out of it fine (relatively) so I'd say he did the right thing. Not all military spouses are like that but it's just way too prevalent for Comfort

As someone married to a marine, shes luckily active reserve, so she goes to work in the morning and then comes home in the afternoon. The longest shes been gone was 2ish weeks, and they SUCKED, i was so sad and taking care of our son, if my mom wasnt there id have been so fucked. Most people who deploy in the army get cheated on and either come back to a note saying "I have another man." or seeing his wife pregnant. Shit is sad, i would have killed myself if i saw that, just a *present* for serving, shit is messed up but you can't do anything.

Something happened to me while I was in Iraq and when I got home. I lost my mind and began drinking heavily. Me and my ex wife already had two kids together..... understand now why I lost my mind. I drank so much that I would find myself waking up in the middle of nowhere because I couldn't make it home. She kept the kids from me and had no ide where my children were. I got two DUIs in the same month... went to jail and was fined for over $10k and also lost my license for 7 years!. She try to ask me to take her back..... I looked at her and just walked away. I remember I left my car parked and just walked for hours.
