Not gonna lie, I think this one hell of a song. Good storyline, great lyrics and awesome performance musically. It's way up there on my list. Goosebumps every time I hear it.
It's supposed to sound that way though. They were all Music Engineering majors, but they purposely made the album sound this way as a middle finger to everything they were told NOT to do. Also it's indicative of the dystopian nature of the setting.
+SilenceInd Silly thing to ask, opinions are opinions. Act II is also a great album but I vastly prefer Act I myself. I love gritty, rough, loud, raw-sounding music. To each his own though.
@@SilenceInd Either is a patrician choice of preference. They have different energies - Act I is *a n g e R YYYY* and act II is mournful. Both are bossanova.
I like to imagine that this album im universe is played by the Protomen on a rebel frequency trying to incite revolution around the time of act III. Doesn't really fit to well with Act II but the narrator and the static and the music vid for this song is what made me think of it. After the end of Sons of Fate and you hear the lone guitar, I imagine it to be Megaman playing, alone and tired.

Yeah, with some other pictures as well, but they're kind of obscured in the booklet; They're either blurry and washed out, or underneath a wall of text. Honestly, I wish they'd release those images separately; I'd wear the fuck out of a t-shirt w/ the Dr. Light picture on it.
I don't know anything about this songs context, i can't stop listening to it and it blows my brain that people could create something like this. your probably correct...but it is possibility they had at least part of the story for act 2 thought of before hand...and you can't deny that if it was an easter egg that it would be pretty cool!
No, I really don't think so. This album was made before the prequel was really thought out. All signs point towards it being a regular line- or as regular a line as you get with the Protomen.
As someone who grew up listening to grunge before it was a thing, this song just makes me support Trump. Talking about the crowd and their reaction to our hero.
Imagine how much creepier of a game mega man would be if all the civilians were watching you as you fought your way through the game.
It couldn't be creepy per se, but it would be depressing if they finally made it darker by killing the civilians when you get a game over
Any different than the world we live in?
Silly Protoman, this is why you fight the robot masters one by one instead of all at once.
Unless your name is Mega Man.

You gotta admit, after looking at it like that, it kinda DOES sound like "it's the monster who killed Joe." Perhaps an easter egg by the protobros?

They need to remaster/rerelease this album with better quality. Otherwise it's awesome.
Lyric wiki is notoriously unreliable. In bohemian rhapsody for example, they think that "It's the law" is sung, instead of "Bismillah".
