Anne Hathaway (Brand) and Matthew McConaughey (Cooper) determination to save the future of not only his kids but the people on planet earth was all around beautiful. This Interstellar reaction was definitely one for the books...No pun!!

"If we don't know if it's going to succeed, then why bother" said no successful person ever. At least no one that ever accomplished the near miraculous.
I just don't understand something, Crystal. You say, "What's the point?" Well, if we're going to be erased from existence no matter what, why NOT try something? Because when it's lights out, it's lights out. Are you worried that we would have wasted some time before our extinction? Wasted time? I hardly think it would matter.
Crystal lol
Girl has no survival instincts whatsoever lol this is why people like Coop need to exist because there are others who would give up without hesitation
The point is to keep the human species alive. Fk history, fk all of it. Im a male. My natural instinct is to reproduce, its likewise with a female, no matter what u say... ITS IN OUR NATURE! Just like any other mammal in this world. The strongest survives, adaptation is key. This s*it has been going on for millions of years. There has been like 5 mass extinction events already, only those who was able to adapt survived. In this case, they had to leave something behind ;) Earth? D:
27:48 Yes, in space its just a void of everything, meaning the suns light has no particles to reflect off of, we experience sunlight on earth because of how the suns rays interact with the atmosphere
I'm with you Charlie. We failed and if we actually want a second chance, we should give a new start. Legacy is literally leaving something behind after you're gone. Even if you no longer have influence over it.
sooo well said
I like how this inspired deep conversation between y'all 💖
This is my favorite movie regarding space and top 10 overall from the soundtrack to just bare writing itself. I haven’t watched any of the movies you post but I watched this 🤣
Can't wait to watch the other 2 parts with you guys. It's been an incredible reaction till now, love your guys spirit. I'm subbing!
BTW Interstellar is my favorite movie of all times.
Glad you enjoy and welcome to the channel. Part 2 is being edited at the moment =D
Enjoyed your debate - it’s funny cos Dr Mann addressed the lady’s point later in the film. “Dr Brand knew that if you told the people the truth, that Plan B was the only option, that people would try to save themselves rather than the species”
You can see the sunlight. It all depends on where on the rotation of day and direction the sun is. During the day, if ur in space you in the direction of our sun. At night you behind the earth facing towards the sun
cant trust people not crying during this movie
To add to this. To our knowledge we might be the only thing to have a complex life in the universe. One could argue. What’s the point of the universe without us? And if there is truly nothing out there, then does the universe even exist without us? Does meaning even exist without us? You might speculate that that can’t be true, but to our knowledge that might be true. Imagine killing off the only meaning in the universe, because you selfishly want it to end with you.
20:55 i get it forsure but maybe theyd send literature, art, everything that lead up to the events like all of human history like they did with the probe they sent out into space in 1970
Good point. That's actually one of the reasons the Voyagers are my favorite space craft(s)
Crystal, you're wrong. The human species continues. Your talk about legacy and heritage is very oriented around the human ego. I would love for US to survive, but if WE cannot, and the only thing that CAN survive is some genetic offshoot of the species.... then that is SOMETHING. In our DNA are all of our strengths, and abilities, and artistic abilities... and everything else that gave rise to the US you're talking about. It's what separates us from rocks, and chickens, and sea moss. So let it continue, if we can. Because what you propose is the COMPLETE erasure of humanity.
Sorry, but your proposal that we don't bother continuing the species because our offspring won't know us.... is a very ego-driven decision.
It ain't about you. It aint about me. It aint about us. When pollen goes in the wind to distant places.... what does the new sprouts know of their origin? Nothing. And, more to the point, is it really necessary? Life continues. It's better than life NOT continuing.
Excelent. Waiting for part 2 and 3 🙌🏽
Dude and Dudette, upload the rest of the movie reaction.
Who is out there spoiling that this is time travelly? 😠
Anyways this was great to see on opening day. The docking stays with you and this one of Nolan's best.
The dad is John Lithgow. He's been in so much, but I liked him in Dexter as Trinity.
She got the spike lee glasses going
😍😍😍
i watched this movie a while back, and i still don't understand some of it. lol
as far as the resetting humanity thing, it reminds me of the problem we have right now with pollution and global warning. they tell us how serious it is and how it will affect the planet like 50 or 100 years from now and most people are like "oh...well why should i care? i probably won't be alive anymore by then. not my problem."
i'm not going to spoil it but there's a show on netflix called 3 body problem where a similar situation happens, where an event occurs and humanity has 300 years to prepare for it. there's people who want to fight to keep humanity alive, and then other people that says "i don't care, i won't even be around when stuff goes down."
i see both sides. yeah humanity shouldn't give up and we should help make things less difficult for the next generations after us, like our children and grandchildren, and we should keep our history and art alive in some way, but at the same time it's like we have our problems here now, why should i care about what happens to people in the distant future that i'll never meet? what have most of my fellow humans done for me now to care what happens to them in the near distant future after i'm gone? they would have forgotten about me or never knew i even existed anyway. so i think i'd rather move to a new planet while i'm still alive than worry about people that come centuries after me when civilization faces an extinction threat. i do think all of that should be the government's job to figure out though.
i do see both sides though, and agree with both.
not just that but the whole human arc thing trips me out. we send it up and they forget about us, so we're just like yoshi when mario hops off of him to make the platform and save himself. lol
Because if earth was ending regardless, why not populate a planet, there's a good chance if earth died the human being would be no longer. So might as well continue the human race .
im heading to patreon right now
it goes by fast when i watch it
loved the discussion but we need to ensure the lady never gets involved into the politics 🤣
Yesssir🎉🎉
i love your debate- initially i sided with Charlie, then the essence of Crystal's point hit me hard ...we wouldn't be simply "populating another planet" really we'd just be polluting a new planet...unnecessary
💯💯💯💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯💥💯💥
Do you really think their plan would be to just send babies? Of course they'll send as many adults they can with the history of their planet. Also, you really think there's no point in saving mankind, unless you survive?
You were not listening. They stated Plan A was humans and Plan B were the eggs
@@CampCrystalCharlie Plan B is a population explosion. Of course there will be adults. You think they're going to just release these eggs and cross their fingers? The director hopes you're going to critically think and realize there is a contingency plan to set it up.
Ain no shame yall this movie would make xhuxk norris WAIL
My sister just told me to watch this but I haven’t yet. 😅 thank y’all I don’t have to lol
Y'all talk too damn much
Tell me about it
It’s actually crazy you have the opinion that it doesn’t matter if humanity continues. Lol that same rhetoric is why we have a climate crisis. Not gonna be my problem? Oh well, who cares then?
I have a few issues with this film. I love the score , the robot and the Earth famine. I hate every thing else. I hate the forced emotion that Nolan does here. I hate the 2001 ripoff with Black holes and subjective time and I hate that Murph is the hero when Matthew went into Space, into a Black hole, docked the ship and fought Space Jason Bourne, but Murph is the savior? huh? what?
It is called Science my friend, if you understand science "time dilation" theory. The crew in this film actually consulted with actual physicist in regards to certain theories, so some aspect of the film is legit.
@@justcallmebrian793 wait...what? It's science that has Matthew appearing behind a bookcase from a static dimension after going into a black hole to speak to himself and his daughter from her bedroom bookshelf? That isn't science , it's plot convenience
@@handsomestik That is why it is called entertainment a movie, and you idiotic references to other classic films is frankly uncalled for and without any concrete merit.
