‘Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya’ Nationwide Gift-Giving Year 3 12/08/2025

“Kaya’t alam ko, naramdaman ko na kaagad 'yung Pasko dahil nandito na naman ang maiingay, ang malilikot at makukulit na mga bata na kumakanta ng malakas nang Christmas carol,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remarked during the annual gift-giving program ‘Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya’ at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang on December 8, 2024.
Speaking before the enthusiastic children gathered at the event, the President emphasized that Christmas is a season dedicated to the youth and the spirit of giving. The program also served as a continuation of a cherished tradition deeply rooted in the Marcos family.
He shared that the initiative is not limited to the Malacañang grounds. Instead, it reaches communities across the nation, ensuring that everyone feels the holiday spirit regardless of distance.
“Itong ating pagsasaya dito ay hindi lamang dito sa Palasyo kundi sa iba’t ibang lugar sa buong Pilipinas. At dahil, kagaya nga ng sabi ko, ang Pasko naman ay para sa mga kabataan, kaya’t tinitiyak natin na kahit sino - kahit napadpad sa malalayong lugar, malayo sa kanilang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay - ay kahit papaano ay mayroon din silang Pasko,” he noted.
Reflecting on the year’s challenges, including the impacts of El Niño and La Niña, the Chief Executive acknowledged the resilience of Filipinos and called on everyone to embrace the holidays as an opportunity for renewal and joy.
He then highlighted the unique way Filipinos celebrate Christmas, blending faith, family and festivity into a distinct tradition that sets the country apart.
“Iyan ang Pasko para sa Pilipino. At talaga naman, pagka pinagdiriwang ang Pasko, naiiba ang selebrasyon ng Pilipino. Kaya’t ipagpatuloy natin ang tradisyong ‘yan,” President Marcos Jr. concluded in his speech.
