Some bodys been shopping at harbor freight. Thats an impressive little heat gun for 9.00. Ive been surprised with it so far.
Perfect, I used to have access to a strip heater but not any more. Your idea is perfect for what I want to do. Thanks for posting.
Odorless mineral spirits can remove backing paper. Since it is made of aliphatic hydrocarbons, safe on plexiglass.
In Australia we have this stuff for instant cooling, It's called water. Im not sure if you have it over there, you should try it if you can?
Good idea on the jig
It sets quick if you spray it with water.
Very helpful. Thank you.

A couple of spring clamps or c clamps would have helped you hold it. Or another set of hands. Good job though.
My plexiglass has plastic peel sheet, will leaving the protective sheets make them melt into the glass as I heat it?
no, leaving the paper on will be fine.

Looks like your plexiglass got burnt on every bend. Wish I could of seen the end result
no, it's not burnt. I think you are seeing the brown paper covering the plexi. the project I was working on came out great.
