Asbestos is a rock (I have a chunk of raw asbestos in my rock collection, it is in a plastic case) It is fibrous, forming long VERY thin crystal structures Its physical properties make it an inert Non heat conducting material and this property is only heightened by pulling the strands apart creating air gaps in the material it is also quite durable and can act as a rigid structure in composite materials such as plastics and ceramics, greatly enhancing their durability as such, it was used a LOT in insulation and flooring tiles Its inert nature makes it completely harmless when undisturbed, BUT the problems come when the crystals are broken or abraded when the crystals break, they do so at a sharp angle, creating a needle like point thinner and sharper than even the smallest medical syringes if these tiny ultra sharp crystal particles become airborne and get inhaled into your lungs, that is when the REAL problems begin! Its inert nature and durability makes asbestos Ideal for the purposes it was used for, but it also means that once inside your body you CANNOT get rid of them most foreign objects that get into your body can be dealt with most things will break down and get absorbed by your body and if toxic expelled or neutralized (titanium is used in implants specifically BECAUSE it is one of the few metals that doesn't) anything that cannot be dissolved will be encased in a mass of scar tissue this is what the body TRIES to do to asbestos fibers but there's a problem asbestos is sharper than any scalpel and will continue to pierce through any tissue at its tip every time you move, it stabs every time the body gets stabbed, it tries to heal tries to scar then you move again and get stabbed again and your lungs NEVER stop moving never top getting stabbed from every fiber inside of them with every breath and thus never stop trying to grow new tissue to heal cancer is just your body's cells replicating out of control Mesothelioma is a type of cancer resulting from your own cells desperately TRYING to heal you
"Jimmy what was your favourite episode of Naggz media react?" "Oh gee my fav is definitely the one where he goes on a wikipedia explanation about the concept of asbestos"
16:27 That's... actually really, really good. Like, I see a lot of weird little fake-outs that are usually something that's done before, but that one, is new to me and the visual build-up, how you see the bare skin and folds on the neck... your brain does NOT have time to comprehend what's going on there, leading up to that absolutely perfectly reasonable reaction. 😂
I used to work at a landfill and confirm that disposal of asbestos is a nightmare. If you came in, without it properly contained, your vehicle would get pulled off to the side, quarantined and wrapped up until a hazmat team could come and properly clean it, which could take a few days and is EXPENSIVE
I had a Friend from Highschool that at the age of 22 became a asbestos removalist and they use to tell me how much protection they had to wear. I miss having drinks with them and hearing the stories. (They aren't dead or anything they just moved to another country and are now working in the media industry.)
Asbestos is a fibrous mineral that is extremely fire resistant and a great insulating material. It's not asbestos DUST that causes the problems, it's the microscopic fibers that break off and float in the air, being inhaled into your lungs, causing physical damage through scrapes, cuts, or just impaling your alveoli, the tiny sacks in your lungs which perform the process to move oxygen from the air in your lungs into your red blood cells. So, it causes innumerable tiny cuts in your lungs, which don't tend to heal. Adding up to tons of damage.
Asbestos was also in alot of early tanks. Not that without the asbestos they weren't death trap material. Like that one failed design that could immediately need amputation to be removed from or the tanks where the engine was in the middle of everyone.
3:04 and that is why games have you convert real money into premium currency, heck some even have you convert it into a currency that you then convert into another currency just to make you really forget how much real money you're actually spending on each purchase. Pretty sure me and another apprentice was tasked with removing old pipes that might have had asbestos insulation about 8 years ago. We were told to just wear PP3 masks and handle it carefully.
For anyone curious. The Kaho/Cdawg clip was Kaho translating what someone else was saying and as you can see was clipped to make it seem like it was Kaho herself that was roasting Cdawg.
Nagzz's entire career flashed before his eyes on that last one. Lol.
You guys almost killed him with that last clip
Asbestos is a rock (I have a chunk of raw asbestos in my rock collection, it is in a plastic case)
It is fibrous, forming long VERY thin crystal structures
Its physical properties make it an inert Non heat conducting material and this property is only heightened by pulling the strands apart creating air gaps in the material
it is also quite durable and can act as a rigid structure in composite materials such as plastics and ceramics, greatly enhancing their durability
as such, it was used a LOT in insulation and flooring tiles
Its inert nature makes it completely harmless when undisturbed, BUT the problems come when the crystals are broken or abraded
when the crystals break, they do so at a sharp angle, creating a needle like point thinner and sharper than even the smallest medical syringes
if these tiny ultra sharp crystal particles become airborne and get inhaled into your lungs, that is when the REAL problems begin!
Its inert nature and durability makes asbestos Ideal for the purposes it was used for, but it also means that once inside your body you CANNOT get rid of them
most foreign objects that get into your body can be dealt with
most things will break down and get absorbed by your body and if toxic expelled or neutralized
(titanium is used in implants specifically BECAUSE it is one of the few metals that doesn't)
anything that cannot be dissolved will be encased in a mass of scar tissue
this is what the body TRIES to do to asbestos fibers
but there's a problem
asbestos is sharper than any scalpel and will continue to pierce through any tissue at its tip
every time you move, it stabs
every time the body gets stabbed, it tries to heal
tries to scar
then you move again and get stabbed again
and your lungs NEVER stop moving
never top getting stabbed from every fiber inside of them with every breath
and thus never stop trying to grow new tissue to heal
cancer is just your body's cells replicating out of control
Mesothelioma is a type of cancer resulting from your own cells desperately TRYING to heal you
This was actually a hella interesting info dump, appreciate you!
"Jimmy what was your favourite episode of Naggz media react?" "Oh gee my fav is definitely the one where he goes on a wikipedia explanation about the concept of asbestos"
Why does this seem like a Game Grumps reference?
@@ropebladeonewingedangel6028 I like the one where he talks about asbestos for a looooooooooong time.
He really liked that last one.

that last clip had me howling
16:28 “THE GIRTH, AA-“
"Completely legit version" = Never had a key, never paid for it, My uncle saw it fall off a truck.

I'm not crying, you're crying. Sorry, first stop after Fauna's Faunwell stream... needed the laughs. Thanks Nagzz.
*hug*
16:30 that needs to be a sound alert
that Connor clip was not Kaho saying that stuff, she was just translating what the other woman was saying
that blender was awesome
Asbestos is a "no threshold" health risk, which means even one fiber inhaled can cause cancer, and the probability increases with each exposure
That was true fear with the last clip.
that last clip LOL
Lmao, Kaho was just telling connor what the old lady who was giving them a tour was saying. That old lady said some unhinged stuff XD
Oh my God, Nagzz looks like he was literally in pain with that last one! 😮
Guys, ya know not to scare him.....his old heart cant handle it.
7:45 Literally the emote SCATTER

to play Nagzz's advocate: the crease at neck muscle/tendon (idk) looks kinda like a "snickers vein" at a first glance xD 16:25
Lol the ending 😂
Saw that last one in a short lol
That was such a good ending
Asbestos was also in alot of early tanks. Not that without the asbestos they weren't death trap material. Like that one failed design that could immediately need amputation to be removed from or the tanks where the engine was in the middle of everyone.
we need a series where Nagzz teaches Ray (and anyone else) about hololive and other vtubers 🤣
The Conner clip was funny
back in the day? 3DS Max is still a thing, I used it in college pretty recently
Dang, that last clip almost ended him. I felt physical pain in his voice.

Protip: use the same coffee pod (keurig) at least twice. You can get a 500ml thermos and like another 250ml before they start tasting weak.
Damn there was Some Head in that last one
to the chip analogy ... bro festival tokens are deadly O_O like oh cool the burger is only 6 token .... 1 token = 6.80
This the one with that vid that made him have a near heart attack that week right?
I miss the good old VRchat days...
All yall on twitch stop mocking him. As a student in business I absolutely must hear his tangents.
For anyone curious. The Kaho/Cdawg clip was Kaho translating what someone else was saying and as you can see was clipped to make it seem like it was Kaho herself that was roasting Cdawg.
What happened to Ryan? Where did he go?
last video was a very delayed reaction....
of all the times he was quick on the draw with pausing and made it possibly worse by doing so, he was unprepared for that last one? Bro getting rusty
How did I get here 🙄
jottem
why is the thumbnail always bugs make the bugs stop I'm begging you hive mind
I know you're a hive mind and everything but please
