It's hard to listen to this song bc I know this is how my Dad feels. I'm 14 and my parents just met my boyfriend for the 1st time. My Dad and I are really close, and every time I talk about my boyfriend my Dad gets a little uneasy. I'm his only daughter and I have 2 younger brothers, which makes me the oldest. My Dad is afraid of loosing me when I get older, and I'd like to say that I know for sure in my heart that this boy that I'm with is the 1 that I am going to spend the rest of my life with and I want my Dad to be apart of both of our lives every step of the way. Especially since my boyfriend's father is no longer in the picture as of now. I hope my Dad loves him just as much as he loves me. Bc my boyfriend is a part of me, he's everything I need and more, I hope my Dad loves him the way he loves me bc my boyfriend never really had a normal childhood, or a normal Dad. I love them both and I want to be their girl for the rest of my life. I've always been a Daddy's Girl though.
