Prices follow the generational gap! 20 years ago I paid 1/4 for what 1940-1950's and 1/8 for 1960-1970's cars as those folks retired and bought them all back up the prices went nuts. But kids are now inheriting the 1940-1950's cars and prices are actually drop off slowly in value and will never go back up. 1960-1970 are very high but will clime for another 10 years. If your smart buy into 1990's V8 or Turbo Cars now! Because those are next to go up significantly. Once they get three generations out like the Model T you can get one now for 5k and 20 years ago they cost 25k

Others in this video are similarly favorable, but the one thing that gets me about so many of these cars is the choice of steering wheels - they're mostly a generic billet POS with no style. Those wheels are expensive, but if you're spending money, buy something stylistically relevant and not a ZZ Top knock-off. Another $200 or so above what you're already spending is nothing compared to the price you're going to eventually ask when you sell it. I honestly do not understand the prices on tri fives now. Just a few years ago, that 57 would have brought $20k, if that. Now you can barely buy a basket case tri five for less than $20k. I missed my window & doubt I will ever own one at this point. 😩

I can’t choose between the Ford or Chevy models from the fifties
Yeah they all are pretty good looking cars.
Well until about 58 on the ford's.
Thanks for watching and commenting
52 for the 57 I think is not too bad look at it 😍😍
I honestly do not understand the prices on tri fives now. Just a few years ago, that 57 would have brought $20k, if that. Now you can barely buy a basket case tri five for less than $20k. I missed my window & doubt I will ever own one at this point. 😩
You can thank all these stupid reality shows for influencing people into believing their basket case is worth a mint.

As a classic car restorer myself, I look at the price, and compare it to how much it would cost to build it.......then make my decision from there.
I hear ya.. and also know they got way to much in it to even make an offer.

@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su anytime buddy. You know I'm a faithfull follower.

48 Cadillac..........Worth the money.....Just not my money.😮
I hear ya..

The last car…. The 47 caddie. Looks like someone stepped in gum and pulled it off their shoe and threw it on a set of ugly rims
'53 Buick: Paint and Leather Very Tied
I was born in 57 and 57 Chev has always been my favorite. But the continental kit has to go.
Yeah not a super big fan of them either.

I'm dehydrated from all the drooling I just been doing!! Not up on US car values, being I'm from the UK but surely that first Ford seller is doing themself out of money for that car, $25k seems too cheap to me.
Yeah that ford was priced at the right amount in my opinion.. being stock.
Now go drink some water.. more drooling worthy videos to come 🤣
As always thanks for watching and commenting sir!
@@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su Ah I see, my thinking was along the lines of a numbers matching survivor would be at a premium but then I don't know the ball park value do I? 🤣
I wonder if the owners of the 47 ford or the 57 Chevy. Would do a straight across trade. Grandkids for cars. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... not the grand littles.

His wife probably told him to put it up f/s... and he wants to keep it... 125.000. Lol

Woody needs the visor
Yes.. I agree with you there.

That guy with the 55 Chevy for $125,000.00 is trying to get what he has into it, and you never get what you spent in a build unless you are doing it for a customer who ordered it.
Yep... and it's hard to get a customer to pay up anymore.

47 fords did not have seat belts, and that interior was not offered. A redone/modified survivor?
Thanks for watching and commenting
Hell Ya!!
Thank you sir
39 chevy needs a four wheel drive frame
🤣🤣.. stop it.

All Nice! No$$$

Here's the rule when doing engine swaps. A Ford in a Ford. A Chevy in a Chevy. And a Hemi in anything.
🤣🤣... no you mean chevy in everything. Repeat after me chevy in everything!

I'm old and have a bad back. I need my distributors in the front.
Ok use a buick motor then.. 🤣
Most of them are nice, some of the colors tho…. But the prices, can’t blame them for trying 🤷♀️
That's right.. im sure some sucker with deep pockets may show up and take them off their hands at full asking price.. and monkeys may fly out butt by the time I finish replying to your comment..
Thanks for watching and commenting!
P.S they did not fly out my butt!
@@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su LOL
I look at these 100k cars just the same way I look at a mid twenties woman with double D's ,just to far outta this old hillbilly range. But it's still nice to look at!
🤣🤣🤣.... thats right.

Most of these cars are too high …the 55 Chevy is insanely too high ! Maybe a $40,000
Yeah they was on the pricey side.

I think most of them are smoking their breakfast on the prices
Something was smoked for sure.

3:49 did anyone else notice c*clamps holding the fan shroud to the radiator?
No but.. im gonna have to look now...thanks for watching and commenting
@@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9su thanks for replying
The Mercury is fiberglass, not a lead sled then. The 39 Chev looks like a pig with lipstick, poor interior, original 6 cylinder.
Yeah I know .. crazy isn't it.
Thanks for watching and commenting
There wasn't a car in this video worth the asking price. Every one of these cars are very overpriced or just a trailer dolly. 😮
Pretty much.. other than the 47 ford .
