I have been to campgrounds that your rig wouldnt fit any spot I wouldnt wait on that forward facing camera it can show what happened which can save you big time. Safe travels
I prefer the backroads even if it takes longer, BUT I would stay on the highway when pulling ANY trailer simply because a lot of backroads don't have a shoulder and we all know that blowouts happen with trailers and you need a shoulder to get off the road. If you know that the backroad has a good shoulder then go for it, but if you're in an unfamiliar area, I wouldn't risk it. Plus you can use the shoulder to go to the bathroom.😂
With Google Maps it don't take into account the size of your rig, I don't use Google Maps or Waze when I'm towing my big 5th wheel, what I use is my Garmin RV785 GPS or a GPS that let you put in the size, because you can't put in your dimension of your rig with Google Maps so it want, take you on low bridges, but I guess you got it.

Good points. 👍 I just hate all the stop and go on back roads.
Stay on the highway

Your right! I have the same Garmin. Sometimes the Garmin tends to take me 45 minutes out the way.
Most of the time follow the truckers, because they are trying to make on time deliveries.
That’s call robber necking
Actually it's called "rubber necking"...because they're stretching their necks like they're made out of rubber to see what's going on.😉
