- Vocal Union is an all-vocal, contemporary Gospel group from Nashville,
Tennessee. They began as a group of studio interns in 1995 experimenting
with recording vocal arrangements of traditional gospel music. The sound
they produced found a niche in many churches around the country, and the
decision was made in 1998 to make Vocal Union a touring group. Since that
time, Vocal Union has traveled extensively, performing for special church
events, community concerts, and fundraisers. The group primarily travels
throughout the United States, but has also ventured to select venues in
Canada and Jamaica. Vocal Union has performed at a wide variety of venues
including a performance of sacred Christmas music at Carnegie Hall in
December of 2005 in Manhattan, New York, and two performances at the White
House Christmas celebration in Washington, D.C. in December of 2006. The
group's fan base has spread worldwide through distribution by Word Records.
Fans from Iceland, Nigeria, Brazil, and many other countries all over the
world have signed the group's online guest book and illustrate Vocal Union's
strong international appeal.

I remember being introduced to this song back in 2014, i was in the 9th grade. Our teacher sang it for us after our classmate was brutally murdered on her way to school. ( HER NAME WAS PRECIOUS). still brings tears to my eyes. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE PRECIOUS.
Played at my dads funeral 1 month ago. It so hard at times now. He wanted people to visit i tried my best to get people to visit him in hospital disappointed some elders and preacher never showed up till he passed that night. But I come to terms with it some what. I dont hate anyone just disappointed they didn't take time to see and visit. Song reminds of that about the flowers that it's to late when I'm in paradise should of got them while I was here. I love him so much, were very close sound and sayings are the same. Rip Dad. We're jealous that your seeing God's glory, 1 day we Wil reunite.
Give me the flowers when I'm alive and can smell and enjoy them. When I'm gone nothing will help me anymore, but for a resting place for my soul with God.

This song takes me back to the toughest days of my life in 2006. So thankful that the Lord has kept and seen me through to where I am now. My prayer is to remain grounded and not forgot where i've been. Songs like this help me with just that.
its funny how people spend thousands of dollars on funeral arrangement when a person is dead , while when they were alive they could care less if that person hunger or thirst.... this song should be a wakeup call to a lot of people......thanks Vocal Union, but all the praise to God for giving you tjhe inspiration to write this song....

God bless the song writer of this heart touching song. And the lyrics are so real in some people's lives. Because when they needed help when they are alive, no one helps them when they could have helped them. But will make the biggest and most expensive funeral for them when they don't need it when they are dead. Give people what you have and can give when they are alive.
Back in the days people was buried in the ground without concrete and years after the family would build a tomb on the grave. Sometimes the family would say that dead dreamed them and said that they are getting wet, which means that they need to be tomb. Up to now the wealthy Jewish people don't put their dead in any fancy caskets nor concrete gave. They put them in the ground like in the olden days. And give their money to the children and grandchildren, and towards building their temples, as in church or synagogue.

Many times we have our families and even our friends and we don't even care about them, but when they die that's when we want to act like or show that we care.....Smh when its too late.... the dead knows nothing.....show that you love your friends and family when they are alive and well.....when they can be thankful.

this song played at my grandfather's funeral in September 2012 I tried to visit him daily after school while he was in and out of the hospital. the last time I seen him alive he got in the shower before I had a chance to tell him I loved him, gave him a hug or a kiss. it has been over three years now and to this day no matter how many people tell me that he knew how much I loved him because I took the time to visit him I still regret not saying it to him and giving the hug and kiss to him. this song helps me remember the good times we spent together in the 17 years I was alive before he died.

e need to appreciate the good deeds of our loved ones when they are still alive not when dead. Most people kmake floery obituaries after some one is gone, they formulats powerful touvhing sermons from the lives of the people after they are gone, but when they were alive they never did so, shame.
