One of the best games as a gamecock fan. I remember feeling so hopeless the majority of the game. Conner Shaw etched his name as a legend that night in Mizzou as a gamecock player.

I attended that game. The Gamecock section was the corner of the end zone where Ellington caught the tying TD in the first OT. The missed FG was at the other end of the field. When the kicker missed it off the upright, everyone started hugging each other. I mean total strangers were hugging each other just because they wore USC apparel. It was amazing.
I was at a party....... same it was the single most electric game I have seen. literally everyone was screaming and hollering..... even the clemson fuckers.

This game was remarkable!!! No words to describe how must pressure was put on Shaw and he pulled out with a W. South Carolina is going to miss him next year. He really gave this team some excitement and hope!

i like the New Carolina...The Old Carolina would had gave up and not force overtime. Gotta give it to the Gamecocks, they never gave up and when Shaw came in they seemed like a different team. Defense played well in the 2nd half of that game too.

i think South Carolina wins the SEC East now with this win. just gotta beat Miss State and Florida at home and its theirs in my opinion. i think Missouri will lose @ Ole Miss or Texas A&M. Also, i think Georiga loses to Florida or @Auburn. i think Auburn has the better chance to beat Georiga because they have a better offense and the game is in Auburn.

Spurrier left your program where he found it maybe, but before that he gave South Carolina four of the best season they’ve ever had. And as the other poster mentioned he left them with an identity and proof you can have success there. Be grateful he decided to go there. You literally had one of the best coaches in college football history go there and do things that have never been done there before.
