I randomly found this video because I was exploring Legion for the first time. Love the work and love that's been put into this video. It's really inspiring me to try out Legion, as I've played a lot of other mini war games (40k, DZC, LotR, etc.) before but never this. You've done a great job making a battle report engaging, which is no small task!
I have 2 technical notes that may help. First, I would recommend utilizing the chapters function for youtube and breaking the video down in some way (Ex. army composition, deployment, round 1, round 2, etc.). It will help people track what's going on, especially for super long videos like this. It also makes it easy to come back to the video and remember where you stopped last time. Plus it shouldn't much additional work on your end.
Second, I would appreciate an update on points/objs as the game goes on. It would be nice to know at the end of every round (or at least every couple of rounds) where things stand for the 2 armies. I lost track of what the goals were for each side and had to keep going back to the beginning to remember.
Thanks again for putting the time and effort into these videos. It's an amazing way to build the community. I'm definitely going to sign up for the patron, because you deserve the financial support for painting this many droids alone, let alone all the other work for this video!

I second the idea of giving the points total after each round. When Padme went down, I considered the game over. It did not occur to me that the Republic could recover from that.
Also, It would have been nice to know that you are going over 9 rounds. The round 6 actions made no sense to me until I realized the game isn’t over yet 😄
My god the sheer dedication to this narrative batrep is epic. I want to do this myself. I just don't have the money, space, and time to do this feat!

Someone needs to teach Maul a little chivalry! Padme got absolutely sliced and diced up! Awesome battle report, although I have to admit, when I saw it on reddit I was hesitant to watch it thinking it would be a four hour drag, but that's not at all what this was. You did not disappoint!
He's not very popular with the ladies thats for sure, might be the rotting teeth. Im glad you enjoyed it! My #1 goal is to keep these battles very short with no dead air or banter between rolls.

Fantastic. Your attention to detail on the terrain is amazing, I loved the fires, with smoke and I presume little LEDs for the flame inside. I have just discovered Legion and have some figures now, may go a little deeper...
Love to see another large report of this nature with the new ruleset. But this was simply amazing. Bravo!

This battle was very entertaining to watch, and the only thing that somewhat irked me is the cheap shot Maul pulled on Padme
Holy crap great stuff, I'd absolutely love to see more stuff like this in the future, the battle of kashykk would be an amazing scenario for this large scale combat, like a large clone force supporting and all wookie force against the separatists beach landing. One thing that I think you could change is the fact that even though there are thousands of points and 20+ units on each side you only get to play one command card which means 3 orders max and only from one commander, I was thinking that each side could be split into 2-3 forces which each play their own command card, and maybe each have their own turn, but even if you don't think that's a good idea I'd still like to see more of this. Also i loved the idea of combing core and support units. Keep up the great work guys!
I'm filming an even bigger battle in 2 weeks. So hopefully by the end of the year it will be out. Multiple cards is something we started doing in the clash of heroes game I believe. But yeah its definitely needed. Kashykk would be so badass to do a game this size with...but that's a whole new clone army, wookie force, and terrain and mats for a big table. Would get expensive and time consuming quick haha. I'd love to do that one day though! Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed!

That was CRAZY!!!!!!! I made a 6' by 18" table and know the pain and commitment of filling it. Where are you located??? I'm planning on making a mustafar table at some point. I picked up enough lava fabric to cover all of it. I did a hell table with a floating succubis palace. If your close maybe I can lend a hand. Take care Big Guy:)!!!

Vallajo Gun Metal Blue followed by a 50/50 nuln oil/lahmian medium wash, followed by a vallejo silver drybrush

Thank you! I made the cards on tabletop admiral. They have a custom card building system you can use if you sub to their Patreon. Its only a dollar I believe.

I dunno if this was balance at the time as I know the republic had to be nerfed alot but it feels weirdly like there where more clones fielded then droids on this battle
The staggered reinforcements would most likely be why.

The commandos are from Seb miniatures which is a fantastic 3d designer. Fully modular kits. The cards I made on the fifth trooper I believe

How long did this actually take to play out?
I'd say around 20 hours with filming and everything. I have a plan in place to reduce the time for the next big game. Legion really slows down after 1600 points, which Is why I'm using double strength units. But even with that it's still a haul of a game. I'm looking into company level activations for infantry, basically 3 of your units go at once opposed to a single back and forth.
Its 1am, got no clue whats goin on but i am fully invested.

I made the unit cards for the commandos, the command cards where just taken from google images. Ill figure out how to share my custom cards at some point.

this is really cool! if I can make one suggestion, a battle this big no one really needs to see dice rolls, if we could just follow the narrative action
I appreciate the feedback! Honestly though if I cut out the dice the video would be like 25 min shorter. And it's already less than the length of some 800 point games on TH-cam. So I want some length to it lol.
@@darksidewargaming501 I thought seeing the dice roll was fun, the montage is rythmic enough that's it's not a drag at all, and it helps follow the game very well
