wonderful reusing of this plastic Mate.....it's amazing what we can all make out of things that would be thrown away out of our imaginations and a little silicon ehhh?!?! Great video!!!!
I really love this DIY Filter Box Idea... Very similar to the one I did years ago, but much better EXECUTED!!! Thanks for sharing my friend :-) I'm like number 130
What type of that black adhesive you use?i made like this but water sometimes come out through the bottom
I will try to put in my pond thank you for the video
What water pump are you using??
These are new pumps I saw on Amazon, there are quite a few sellers and brands. Look for pond pump with led lighting. The one in video is 800 LPH and led lighting is attached to the pump.
Tell me where will I get that upper media spong
I bought it from a local variety store, aquarium shops should have these sponges. Thanks heaps, appreciate it
Please sale on Amazon
No one would buy it, appreciate your feedback though and am glad you like it
If your goal is for people to make this for themselves then you should explain what hosing, fittings, adhesives etc.

Gotta be careful with the type of plastics used. It has to be food grade for water to be consumed or fishes to live in. Non-bpa, etc.
I've watched heaps of DIY filter videos, this is by far the best. I very much like that it can hold so much media. Also as it's above the tank, if the power goes out, it won't syphon water all over the floor and as the pump is submerged it will simply restart when the power returns. So useful.
Where I live in a smallish town (Albany, Western Australia) aquarium equipment is a bit hard to find. Except for the plastic planter I've already got most of this stuff lying around at home. Thanks mate!
Thanks heaps Ian, I have moved it out for filtering my small pond.
