The radioman instantly surrendering after hopping out a destroyed BRM and getting showered by rifle fire after is the most realistic thing I've seen in CM
Can´t believe I got shot like that. The poor pixeltruppen who was surrendering with me is going to need some real counseling, and a tissue to clear my blood off his face
That’s if he survives Siberian gulag. (OK, if the war really went like the planned he might be home in a couple of months later and get to see the Walmart in Red Square)
Oh, they've got no time for glory in the Infantry. Oh, they've got no use for praises loudly sung, But in every soldier's heart in all the Infantry Shines the name, shines the name of Rodger Young. Shines the name - Rodger Young, Fought and died for the men he marched among. To the everlasting glory of the Infantry Lives the story of Private Rodger Young.
"I’m afraid to hold a gun now. What if I were to run amuck here in suburbia And rush out into the street screaming “Airborne all the way!’ And shoot the milkman. " Charles M. Purcell, "In That Age When We Were Young", 1972
"could be a bad time to be a Soviet infantryman down there." Yeah. Could also be a real bad time to be an American one too. We shall see! "2nd platoon, you guys can rest" What, in pieces??
ATGMs Remaining: 13 [Numbers are accurate now. TOW teams carry 3 each, plus 2 in the jeep. There are also 3 TOWs in the command jeep that may or may not be usable.] ATGMs Fired: 20 ATGM Hits: 10 Vehicles Killed: 14/23
Captain David “DC” Clarke checked the grim calculation again. The ATGM hit rate is increasing as the enemy began dashing for the objective. This is turning into a battle his company can win.
The hit rate is increasing, but A. it took 3 hits to kill one T-72, and B. about half of the vehicle kills have come from LAWs, not ATGMs. Shoutout to Romitass, for getting the only kill with an M203 (so far).
@@d.c.6065yeah. It took a bit of hits to get kills on the T72s, but it seems like we'll start getting flanking shots on them now as they turn towards the OBJs. I'm really surprised he didn't focus the hill with some IDF fire
I just can't understand why the Soviet player went down the highway. Weren't those trucks baiting AT teams for the main approach? Didn't he know that tow jeeps were spawning in? The highway was a good strategy early game, but that time is gone, and so are 2 tanks and IFV.
Years later, in airborne heaven, captain David “DC” Clarke finally met the men of 2nd platoon and his final salvation. “It’s alright captain, we all signed up for this. “
Looks like he's going to drive his BMPs right into the engagement zone of the Phantoms. Interesting to see if they managed to do anything in the coming turns. Assuming the BMPs don't get killed by TOWs first whilst trying to navigate through the gaps in the wall.
UH, you mentioned that you playtested this game. Why would you do that? As a scenario designer I completely get the fact that you should test a scenario out, but do you mean that you playtested it once you'd agreed to play? Surely that gives you an unfair advantage? If I play a game against someone (instead of the AI) I won't look at their forces because that's not fair nor realistic
Well, I made the scenario so... I know exactly what's going on. Luka playtested it as well, so we're about as even as we could get. It's a bit of a necessary evil for making sure the scenario is actually going to be interesting (and I haven't ballsed it up somewhere). There's also an argument that in reality both sides would have a pretty good idea what they would be up against, so knowing enemy force composition/reinforcement times isn't as skewed as you might think. Plus, obviously, it shifts the emphasis firmly onto what the players choose to do with their toys
@@usuallyhapless9481 Hi UH, thanks for the reply. If Luka has 100% transparency as well that makes it all good :-) Thanks for posting your dailies, although I am a little behind, so no spoilers please ;-) Cheers, Drew

That ptruppen is obviously a smart cookie
those two Urals driving into each other are a secret Soviet particle collider experiment
That second tank kill is the most beautiful carousel cookoff I’ve seen in CM.

I really thought your TOWs are gonna get mortared after you put them all on the hill

It is much faster to use the highway than the rough ground inside the perimeter.

I guess the trucks are bait for the AT equipment
Could be baiting airstrike also
