- Welcome to my video of our latest adventure to Lac Bernard in Northern France 🇫🇷. Since our last trip to the venue where we caught 40’s and 30’s backed up with 20’s we had to go back again. The opportunity to catch my 50lb plus carp was on the table once again. The video tells our story and we all hope you enjoy it just as much I enjoyed making this film.

James Edwards hi mate, it’s a tuff venue and not for the faint hearted mate. But get it right it’s a rewarding place. First trip which is also on my TH-cam channel I managed 21 carp. The last trip only managed 14. First tip is tight baiting to your rig. Over a large spread I found the carp got occupied. When I introduce less bait but tight on my rig my catch rate massively improved. I used the hinge stiff rig and that played a big part in captures also. The bait I used was particle and boilies mixed together. Fluoro yellow pop ups worked for me.
