Do you mean the cooling or the reload? The heat of the weapon is represented by that little orange bar.(it's always in half because of Artillery lv3) It's faster to fire the Barrage with everything reloaded, it's even faster if you cooldown it first by simply waiting or by using Hail Cutter. But as you can see, using the Barrage with no ammo reloaded and without cooling the weapon beforehand is also just as good and in genera, faster. So if you have the opportunity to reload, do so, but it's faster to just fire the Barrage asap. I usually do normal reload because I'm not sure if I have time to do the Barrage, but when I know I can I just fire it asap.
@@trananh6686 Galeus with SnS uses a ton of AoE items, including heals and buffs, he also is one of the top damage dealers (if you put him in the first companion slot, the second slot has a dmg penalty) and he can even get some stuns in with metsu

Thanks for watching! I would say Reverse Blast spam is easier to do, so I'd recommend that. BB spam can miss a lot and requires good management of a third or fourth wirebug or requires Redirection, so I recommend less, but it's just as good. Reverse Blast spam works on any shelling type. If you use Long or Normal, just spam Reverse Blast into Full-burst. If you use Wide, make sure to end the combo with Erupting Cannon every time. On long, you'll do slightly less damage, but some people like the longer range, so it pays off. In terms of pure damage, Long shell with Hail Cutter is the strongest, but I don't often use Hail Cutter, so I don't know much about it.
It only gives knockdown resistance(Hyper armor) and reduces the damage you take by 70%, so you only take 30% damage. Sometimes it does looks like I'm not taking any damage, but it's either bad hitbox or the follower is immediately healing me back.
Your dog did more damage than both followers, lol.
