After playing the demo that took me almost 3 hours to beat, I'm completely sold. I love everything about this game and I can't wait to play the full thing! My favorite part was when I kept trying to play it like dark souls with dodging and attacking in windows and I kept getting destroyed. Then I remembered the parry mechanic and I started playing like a mix of Dark Souls and Sekiro. The combat feels amazing and the atmosphere is incredible, especially in the hotel hub
There's a demo out rn and it's inane how polished it is. The game is running flawlessly on on my PC without a single stutter at max settings uncapped framerate.
Becoming the best souls-like out there may be a bit of an oversell. But it’s a great AA quality indie like Steelrising, The Surge and Mortal Shell. I hope they make enough money to make a second one that’s even better.

Plenty of other souls games out there more enjoyable than froms imo. Just because they invented the game design doesn't mean they're the best at it with every game. Only game i give them credit for at truly making a real masterpiece with is sekiro and to a small extent elden ring. Every other game is average at best or slightly above.

It’s very punishing but I personally love it, as it encourages you to be better and try timing your movements perfectly
Although the looks and _feels_ like Bloodborne, it plays more like a mix of Dark Souls (speed) with Sekiro (emphasis on Perfect-Blocking/Parrying)
Grinding your sword against your arm to sharpen it is pretty cool
Took me a min to get a hang of the mechanics but i started figuring out the timing for parrying and utilizing the fable arts.
