Most of the Indian Solar industries stick to the Single (South) orientation of PV system without analysis of need. But there is another solution for mounting solar panels i.e. Dual (E-W) orientation PV system. Everything has its own benefits and drawbacks. We will understand the Benefits and drawbacks of both orientations with analysis.
Dual orientation (E-W):
• Best method to optimally utilize the available space.
• Maximizing the number of PV modules by 20-50% in the same area as compare to southward orientation.
