Haha, I was DONE planting bulbs for the season but you just made me order som Double Gudoshnik and Sunlover, LOL! (They're on sale - yay!) I wasn't going to buy any more bulbs, no more, none! :) But thank you for the inspiration to fill my tulip beds with doubles because they truly are amazing. I'm trying the hyped up 'La Belle Epoque' this year, just to see why it's so expensive. Maybe it's fantastic, maybe it's not, I don't know. Can't wait for spring!

Holy cow, look at all those bulbs!!! An entire skid full of them!!!! 1:48 swooning over the great big gorgeous bright colorful tulips! Palmyra - a town near me - pronounced pal - like "he's my pal". The pictures you showed of each variety are a great big help. I'm not even going to try to pick a favorite. Amazing video! Hugs and kissies for the kitties!

I'm uk but I've grown palmyra for tge last 3 years the best way I can describe it is its the colour you see if you look through a blackcurrant boiled sweet it's deep burgundy with purple flashes and it is probably my favourite dark tulip but I'm with you on exotic emporer although they have renamed it white valley now

I haven’t grown tulips for years, when they were discovered by deer 🦌, but seeing yours, and since I started spraying Liquid Fence early to keep the deer from eating my iris, daylilies and whatever else started growing in spring, I’m going to order tulips again. It’s worth a try. I love the beautiful colors and spring flowers.

I totally agree about the doubles being difficult to beat, but some of the lily tulips are stunning. I have a dark purple one and not only is is a huge flower but it catches the light and looks like velvet. It's honestly breathtaking, it makes queen of night look subpar. Plus is grows 50cm tall and I use it to rise above the doubles ❤❤in arrangements.

I am NJ USA 7a. I have been growing ice follies daffodils for the last... this will be the fourth spring. I just noticed this morning a half an inch of growth popping through the soil. I'm so excited! I'm not a huge daffodil fan but there are two that I have all over my property most of them are the ice follies. I love how they start out one color (the corona) and then it fades to all white and if I remember correctly they're also scented but the other daffodil that is delnashaugh. I enjoy your videos very informative as well as entertaining I'm not a flower farmer but your tips on planting and flower arranging are awesome!

I don't know my favorite bulb yet. I go to the Skagit Valley fields in the spring and am always just wowed and overwhelmed. Last year I decided that I am more of a classical single tulip fan for garden planting. I love the darks and purples. but the oranges get me too. I am not really into the whites but totally love the blushes. I like the pinks. I love that I can watch your videos, learn so much, and catch some of the energy from you enthusiasm. Wishing you the best for all you plans in 2024!

Tulips are going to great, Serina. Nicole is not facing her bulbs up this year. It seems some flower farmers have found it doesn’t matter. I had a bulb this year that started growing before planting and it was sending out a stem from the bottom. I also have a white daffodil with a short pale yellow trumpet that multiplies like crazy. I can’t tell you the variety. I bought it many years ago. I have given away bushels of them. Pity I can’t send bulbs into Canada. Love Ian’s purple and green shirt. That would be a good one to wear to the market. It would enhance the bouquets. 😊💕

Exotic Emperor really is a beauty. I suggest to your viewers that they buy the best quality and biggest bulbs of this tulip, since they're not truly perennial. I've bought ones from box stores. They're puny. It's the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.

I get excited about your bulb order too! And yes, it’s going to be beautiful this spring there; it always is. I really love the anemones and ranunculus, but failed with them last year. I don’t know if I want to try it again. Flower Hill Farm planted all her tulips in bulk planting this year for the first time. Brad used the tractor to make a wide deep trench. I love seeing every ones planting styles. I don’t buy tulips because they’re deer candy here, but I do like the Gudoshnik tulips you bought and Liquid Fence has been working this year to keep deer away. Maybe I’ll try tulips again! I can’t wait for your next video! Take care.

Daffs will continue to increase over the years and so your initial investment will have many returns. And yes...nothing eats them. Bonus. You could flag the very shortest daffs each year and lift and pot on and sell as potted colour. Lots of people say you should not put daffs into mixed bunches.

Love seeing what you bought! Here's a thought (OMG, here I go again) . . . when you harvest the long stem daffodils that are mixed in with the short stems, dig up the bulb and relocate it to another spot that has all long stem daffodils. Even put it in a crate, if needs be.

hi Serena , im watching your order and I realize a few things !
    1. a few years back I had my first order of tulips made and planted , and it was something from colorblends as I had no idea of any other places to order at that time and they had everything nice sold out , I ended up getting double red and yellow mix and single mix of red, yellow and white, and now looking at your order I. think it was yellow pompanet and red miranda ! they both have that specific black markings in the center and yes they are big but my problem is - they break their necks!! from how heavy they are ! for two years straight I was SURE it was squirrels and bunnys chewing them off and I was so mad! so I cut some trying to save them for inside - and what do you know ? they started snapping off in the house!! it took me a week to realize no-one was chewing them inside, so it MUST be the nature of a heavy flower head ! I wonder if you had any complaints ? may be I should pick them early, then they won't be as big and heavy as they get outside.... but they come back for me 3 years in a row now and im in Minnesota .
    2. seeing as you purchase really big great quality bulbs I wonder if its worth trying to replant those same bulbs (after you picked them ) somewhere in a ditch as you said and see what happens.. considering that you pick them as budds and they don't draw all the bulb energy I wonder if they could grow back for you again !! add some bone mill and see if you can reuse those bulbs at least two years in a row , wouldn't that be a huge game changer for your farm?! make a trench with a tractor, throw all those discards and cover up and forget till next spring.. yes they will not get as much nourishment as with leaves left but still those are great quality bulbs and may bloom second year at least , just wondering if you ever made experiment like that with replanting used bulbs ??
and thank you for your in-depth videos!

Its fun to see all the varieties! Have you tried the brownie tulip already?? It is a beautiful brownish orange double with many colors including purple in it! It would pair awsome with the bradley tulip! I also have the exoctic emperor and it has returned for many years! I have also the orange emperor which is in the same family (fosteriana tulip) and is very pretty! For the daffodils, i also love the pink/peach tulips and love the pink charm and delnashaug in my garden! Tahiti is also a great performer for me! There are soo many great varieties! :)

Can't you claim back tax on purchases as a compagny in Canada? In Belgium all VAT(value added tax) on purchases for a business can be redacted in the vat declaration. We have put all the vat on purchases and all the vat you have to put on your sales and then only pay the difference to the gouvernement. (or get back money if the vat on the purchases was higher than vat on the sales).

I grew Palmyra in pots, once, just as a 'normal gardener' in small scale. The stem length doesn't compete with Queen of Night. The color is right there though, I would rather say it is like a thick red wine burgundy, not so purple to me, but unique and beautiful for sure! 🤗 Isit spring now?.. Are they blooming now... 😂😂Greetings, Judit
Ps: I thought, if you put the shorter ones, in the high tunnel, which filters light, they should get taller, since plants strecht towards the light 🤔compared to the ones, outside with dark strong light, they should be taller.. just a thought.
