Goku VS Superman is one of the most heated debated within the VS Battle Community. Since even before Death Battles controversial take on the matchup, people have been debating this topic back and forth and as time has progressed, the answer in my opinion became more and more clear. This video will not only be explaining why Goku VS Superman Isnt Close but why the matchup was never close to begin with. Mind you this video will be containing content from Dragon Ball , Dragon Ball Z , Dragon Ball Super , DC Comics, DC Movies , Shows , and etc. Ranging from analyzing their feats against the Z Fighters with people like Vegeta Gohan Piccolo and the Justice League through Batman Flash and Wonderwoman. Son Goku, born Kakarot, is a Saiyan raised on Earth and the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. He is the second born, as well as youngest son and child of Bardock and Gine, the husband of Chi-Chi, and the father of Gohan and Goten. Originally sent to Earth by his parents as an infant, Kakarot was adopted by Grandpa Gohan and renamed Son Goku. A head injury at an early age altered Goku's memory, ridding him of his initial destructive nature and allowing him to grow up to become one of Earth's greatest defenders. Goku constantly strives and trains to be the greatest warrior possible, which has kept the Earth and the universe safe from destruction multiple times. Dragon Ball is a Japanese media franchise created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The initial manga, written and illustrated by Toriyama, was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters collected in 42 tankōbon volumes by its publisher Shueisha. The impression that I have of DBZ fans is that, if they weren't comic book/cartoon geeks, they would be contact sports fans. They just want their hero to be the strongest, the fastest, the baddest, etc. DBZ fans don't actually care about the stats and facts of Superman Vs Goku. They just *want* Goku to win.
This is why they keep pestering Death Battle/ScrewAttack for more and more rematches. ScrewAttack thinks that, if they just explain it well enough this time, that the DBZ fans will understand and accept the result. SA/Death Battle doesn't get it that the DBZ fans understand the stats, but they simply don't care. What they want is for Goku to beat Superman. They only care about the *result* .And until Goku gets that "W", they will keep bringing up BS to justify why yet another rematch is needed. I was there in 2012 when they made the first one, and now 12 years latter it has gone nowhere. I no longer bother arguing with DBZ fans because to them the only thing that matters is Goku winning. They are, frankly, the most stupid and odious group of people I ever engaged with.

This is true, but it is also true of a lot of comic fans. I think it has to do with being raised without a father. In school, you'd have your "my dad can beat your dad" arguments and then grow out of it. But because most DB fans (and a lot of comic fans) don't know their fathers, they never got it out of their systems, and so spend all day sending death threats to each other and saying "Dragon Ball is better fiction than Shakespeare because Hamlet can't blow up a planet." To be fair to comic fans, at least they usually stay in their lane. You have to go out of our way to find annoying comic fans, but if you like any other anime, the DB fans will find you.

I’d argue Timothy drakes feat is better. Hits time leap was only 0.5 seconds faster, but Timothy was dealing with a whole 5 seconds, an eternity in a fight.

They added Heroes simply to high end Goku to the absolute max to show he is nowhere near Superman. I believe they did bring up sufficient feats from Heroes which still gets one up by DC cosmology. They had to go get literal fanfiction for Goku to stand a chance where he still lost. They cater to DB fans even in the post analyssi because they knew they would be salty at the outcome. People will never understand how to properly power scale. Cosmology scaling is needed for characters that reach Universal or higher in power. Because character’s from a stronger cosmology that are Universal scales much higher than a character from a weaker cosmology that is Multiversal.
Yeah like Goku is capable of destroying Millions of Finite Universes which is indeed very powerful but then you get to something like Lovecraft where each Universe is stated to be completely Infinite and extends beyond Space and Time and Physicality, even the Dreamlands which exist beyond Concepts, Imagination, Distance and Dimensions still reside inside the Universe and something like a single Nightgaunt can threaten the entire Universe which would make them High Outerversal bare minimum.
That's probably because most scaling is pure fanfiction and probably shouldn't be done at all. Cosmology is mostly pointless speculation.

1:00 I would like to address that specific complaint. For scaling, there are blackboxes on the side where they scale Goku to 5D an Superman to higher dimensional levels of power (higher than Goku). A lot of their juicy scaling and fight breakdowns can be found in second hand material such as their blogs, as opposed to the episode itself.

His blog is very complete, it includes pretty much all DBZ media where Goku is in, and pretty much every single official comic that has Superman in it, the blogs even include separate sections for the calcs of each character, Ultraguy put his heart and soul into that blog

True form darkseid final crisis vs superman:
Did superman beat true form darkseid? Yes, but did he have a lot of help? Yes.
During that fight darkseid was beaten by Orion and nearly died. Batman then preceeds to kill darkseid again. Then the flash and death racer beat darkseid again. And after all of that superman still had to create 2 miracle machines, which is basically DC's infinity gauntlet to beat true form darkseid.
So superman does not scale to true form darkseid, not in that fight.
World forger:
Again you leave out context. Its been stated multiple times that world forger is weaker when he is on the 3D planes. World forger already beat superman while weakened. So he already cant scale to him. The only way superman was able to get a hit off of a weakened world forger was when he wasnt fighting and caught off guard. Superman also had to have batman's help to fly through a galaxy's worth of suns just to get off a cheap shot.
And you may be asking he was still able to damage a 6D being and destroy a multiverse wasnt he? Well no actually. The world forger describes his power as being able to create a universe with each strike of his hammer while in his weakened state. And as for his mutliverse he created? It was incomplete and collasped before it was finished. And we dont know how complete it was, but the author sure does. And the author said only a planet has been completed at the time. 🤷♂️ take that as you will.

As for skill this is an ambiguous stat. But i dont really care where you have superman in comparison to goku. You want to claim tim drake robin is more skilled than goku, than go for it.😂
But to scale superman in skill to wonderwoman is simply wrong. Its as wrong as scaling superman in speed to flash, or in intelligence to batman.
Wonderwoman in virtually every instance and mutliverse has always been protrayed as more skillful than superman. Its not up for debate. She and batman and virtually every justice league member has stated that wonderwoman has more skill than superman. So does batman for that matter. In a fair fight of equal stats batman beats superman hands down and so does Wonderwoman on skill alone.
And thats backed by decades of comics.

Not really. You are very underestimating Superman's intelligence, he IS smarter than Batman in many ways. The technology on Fortress of Solitude is far beyond anything created by Batman's, Superman has proven himself smarter than Lex Luthor (who is on pair with Batman in intelligence and possibly superior), thanks to his powers the cognitive abilities and brain power of Superman are naturally higher than Batman's.

Another thing to add about Superman's skill, he also went to train under Wisoka, the former teacher of the Furies. Her skills are so great even Granny Goodness doesn't hold a candle (the current teacher of the Furies). For the World Forger/multi sundip feat, it occurred in Justice League #25 (2018) and is part of an ongoing story, going up to Justice League #39 (2018) and then Death Metal finishes the story, meaning they are mostly from the same writers and all following feats should be used to reassess the World Forger punch, as follows.
It was mentioned in Justice League #35 (2018) that Perpetua (who is above World Forger) used most of her restored power to destroy one universe at a time and will need time to recharge before she can do it again, which was too much for the Justice League.
Perpetua: 'All but a fraction of my power has returned to me. There is much work to do.'
And then on the same page:
Perpetua: 'It will take me some time to gather enough energy to destroy another universe. But there is work to do in the meantime.'

A lot of Superman's feats are never direct but through assumptions and inference, such as the above with World Forger who can create the multiverse and reside in the 6th Dimension, so people believe that when Superman struck him, this would also make Superman 6th Dimensional, even though World Forger doesn't really have any durability feats. The only direct showing Superman made during this story was when he had to gather some of the strongest members of DC villains to help him destroy Earth, which seems about right. Lots of Superman's other feats are also taken out of context.

@@superlery5828 Cause they way they are described if we were to tell the authors if they were this powerful they wouldn't understand or believe him to be. Most gods in DC despite being all powerful have trash durability feats, this is why i find this level of superman's powers a farce and base superman being that strong. It's it lacks a lot of communication of story.
