Thankfully, these days, I mostly don't need to do poor man meals, but 20 years ago, I'd have killed for a video like this. It's these types of videos that can help so many people who are doing it a bit hard, but still need something nutritious. Thanks!
@@Rapid_Australia I had a poor man type meal the other night at work. I wasn't starving, so I raided my food box and had a pack of 2 minute noodles (I'm a nurse, 2 noodles are a staple in a nurses work diet! Don't hate me!). I also had a few bags of steam fresh veges in the freezer. So, I cooked up the 2 minute noodles in the microwave. Tipped most of the water out and added the flavour sachet. I like to tip the water out mostly, so the flavour is enhanced. Cooked up 2 packs of steam fresh in the microwave, and threw them in the noodles. Really tasty, really filling and lots of vegetables! Probably cost under $5.
Good feed with dessert too 👍, I get a BBQ chook have half with spuds and gravy, then with the other half I make chicken Fritters which last a couple of day's around the same price without the peaches
As mentioned at the start of the video I said that this is an upgraded version of the poor man meal, which means that if you had a few extra bucks you can make this meal. Coming from living pay to pay and being in the negative on the off week, this meal will last me 4 days and hence the reason I made it, to show that you can still eat and it doesn’t need to be just bread and sauce. Unfortunately in this climate it’s being increasingly difficult to put food on the table and those that lived comfortably 3 years ago are now struggling.
As mentioned this is an upgraded version of the poor man meal which means if you had a few extra bucks you can make a decent meal that can be rationed out to last 4 days possibly more. You could spend $14 on KFC but that won’t last
Another good video Rapid. Enjoying the poor mans series.
Thanks mate, they are good to do inbetween KFC and other reviews

Exactly right. It’s cheap and you can get your nutrients without having to bust the bank.

Looks pretty good honestly. Was a bit sceptical when i saw the cans but the finished meal looks nice.
It tasted very nice and the apricots were great.
$15 is NOT a poor mans anything

would you prefer to have made this, or spend the $14 at KFC or McDonalds instead
Much prefer cooking this. It last longer and is more nutritious
Bro wtf
In Sweden. I´ll get breakfast, lunch and dinner for that price.
