He couldn't pass, couldn't dribble, couldn't claim a cross or command his box. This is exactly what I saw over 10+ years of watching him. I love De Gea but he's a tremendously flawed keeper that's not in any way designed for the modern game. Every manager gave him trust, had dedicated coaches to develop that part of his game, he never got it.
His development was fucked up by the post-SAF managers. They only focused on his shot stopping because they played terrorist football to get sacked as late as possible
This proves that De Gea Can be comfortable with ball on his feet. it just that he's forced to be such a godly shot stopper for United that he's sort of neglected his feet skills.
